"Are you thirsty, Winnie?" 13-year-old Dennis Dracula- Loughran asked Winnie.
"Sure" she said.
They were in the hotel's kitchen. Dennis opened the fridge and pulled out two bottles of water and handed one to Winnie.
"I just don't get it" Dennis said the werewolf. "Your brothers hate me."
Winnie smiled weakly. "It's nothing personal. My brothers just want to protect me."
It was no secret that Dennis liked Winnie and vice versa. Her brothers were fiercely protective of her.
Winnie took a sip of her water.
"This tastes funny" she said.
Dennis nodded in agreement. His fangs felt like they were on fire. Winnie felt like her entire body was on fire.
The room became blurry.
"Winnie" Dennis murmured, his voice slurred.
He heard a thump and then everything went black.
"Are you sure this potion will work?" Mavis asked the hotel's potion master, Thanatos.
He nodded. Ever since the human/monster merger, some monsters had admitted to being bitten by a vampire or a werewolf. Some had even been cursed or jinxed by witches. These monster-made monsters had decided that they wanted to become human again. Thanatos had spent weeks on the potion, which turned monsters into humans. He had made four cauldrons and had shipped them to the hotel to be bottled. Afterwards, the newly-bottled potion had been stored in a refrigerated vault. In a few hours, a few volunteers would come over to test the potion.
Mavis opened the kitchen door. The refrigerator door was wide open. Two open potion bottles sat on the counter. Dennis and Winnie were lying on the floor, unconscious.
"Dennis! Winnie!" Mavis cried. She ran to them.
"Thanatos! Get my father, Johnny, Wanda, and Wayne!"
"I can't believe this!" Wayne cried, running his claws through his fur. Wanda was sitting in a corner, crying.
"Vhat vill this potion do to them?" Dracula asked Thanatos.
"Let's see" Thanatos said, thumbing through his potions book. "They're going to become human."
