Viktor sat up in his bed as a beautiful purple and green butterfly flew through the window into his room. His eyes were focused on the creature as it transformed before his very eyes into a girl.
A very beautiful girl with long dark hair that he yearned to run his fingers through and almond-shaped eyes that he could gaze into for hours and never grow bored of it.
"Cho, I wasn't sure you'd be able to come," he greeted in his thick accent.
Cho smiled. "Well, I wanted to spend at least a little time with you on Valentine's Day. If anyone notices I'm gone, Marietta promised to cover for me."
Viktor held his hand out, and she gracefully took it and allowed him to pull her onto his bed. "I wish we didn't have to keep this a secret."
Cho stared into his eyes. "I'm fifteen and you're seventeen. That might be legal in your country but not in the UK. The secrecy is only until I'm sixteen, I promise."
"I hate watching you and Diggory together. Every time I see you with him, I want to take my wand and shout a curse that I probably wouldn't regret all that much."
Cho rested a hand on his heart. "We're only friends. Cedric knows I have a secret boyfriend that others wouldn't approve of. He knows our relationship is just for show to stop people from asking questions about why I don't date. Besides, I'm pretty sure he's interested in a little bookworm that you took to the Yule Ball."
Viktor blinked. "Really?"
"Oh yeah. The way he stared at her that night, as the two of you danced, he's totally smitten with her."
Viktor smiled, and it transformed his whole face. "Hermione is a nice girl. He better not hurt her."
Cho kissed him on his strong chin. "Don't worry about that; Cedric is a true gentleman with a noble heart."
Viktor kissed her on her forehead, just above her eyebrows. "Enough about Cedric and Hermione. We only have three more hours until Valentine's Day is officially over, and I want to spend it kissing you."
Cho blushed. "You know, I never thought I'd be using my animagus form to sneak into a boy's bedroom. And if my dad had known what I'd be using it for in the future, I doubt he would have taught me it."
Viktor cupped her chin. "Then he should never find out, my beautiful butterfly," he murmured against her skin.
Cho sighed happily as his lips moved from her forehead to her nose. They then grazed against her cheek. When his mouth finally closed over her own, she kissed him with all of the passion she had within her.
She wished they could stay like this forever, in their private little world where nothing and no one could separate them.
Soon, the Triwizard tournament would be over, and then Viktor would be going back to Bulgaria.
Where would that leave the two of them?
Cho hated thinking about it. It frightened her when she thought about losing him.
When they separated for air, Viktor murmured against her lips, "Happy Valentine's Day."
"It is now," she sighed before she dragged his lips back to hers.
