Being fifteen is unforgettable for all of us.

Not that Remus has not forgotten being fifteen, because he still happens to be fifteen, and so he hasn't got a lot in his memory bank to compare being fifteen, probably to the rest of his late teens, early twenties, and even earlier thirties.

He imagines he will forget most of these three hundred and sixty five days in comparison to drinking and drugs, sex and drinking and drugs, and then either sex or drinking. Remus is calmly yet desperately hoping he doesn't end up with the latter by the time he is thirty, because by then he will know that his cardigans will have stopped being attractive on him.

However, if he has anything to go by, it would be the fact that someone conspicuously pointlessly unnamed proclaimed that he, Remus Lupin, in his baggiest, oldest, worn cardigan with holes in the sleeves for thumbs that weren't there when he got the cardigan, was "undoubtedly sexy". Remus believes that he may have to consider the prospect of sex, and possibly insanity, by the time he is thirty.

Sirius Black, on the other hand, will never be considered un-sexy (though Remus can beg to differ on Saturday mornings, accompanied with bed hair and extraordinarily bad breath - yet will bizarrely kiss him anyway), even when he is thirty, should he manage to live that long and not die prematurely due to a shoddy motorbike engine and faulty breaks.

Remus had considered another possibility: one of which Sirius lived a longer life than estimated and inflicted his tickly bed hair and his bad breath onto someone who wasn't Remus… Until Sirius found out, wandered around Remus' kitchen table (his parents were away for the weekend) running a hand through his tangled hair and ranting about how "undoubtedly sexy" Remus was and how "utterly ridiculous" Remus was, drinking coffee that absolutely did not do anything to aid his quite frankly fatal morning breath, and then proceeded to do some things that left Remus a) quite giddy and lightheaded, b) hopelessly grateful that his parents were away and c) a very faint yet distinct taste of coffee on his lips, even though Sirius had brought him tea that morning.

Sirius nuzzled Remus' neck with his nose and vowed to make sure this was how the ended up when they were thirty.
