Yeah, these characters don't belong to me. Please review

Hermione picked up the telephone, and heard Ron's voice on the other line. She said,
"This cant be happening..." and tears fell from her eyes. "What am I supposed to do? I can't handle losing you..."

"I just had to call and say good-bye," he said.

Ron spoke again, "There are some things in this life that are out of our control. Like who we fall in love with and when it's.... time to go…"

"What about the plans we had?"

"This connection is getting bad, so come on baby, let me hear you smile."

Hermione's mind raced over the past years. The Second war had ended with a spectacular rescue mission by Harry. Voldemort had kidnapped her and Ron, playing on the fact that they were the "Ultimate Hostages" and that neither had learned to Apparate at the time. He had taken them as they slept at a summer school outing, and they woke up in a room with a large padlock on the door. They had bee stripped of their wands, so they spent the long hours before the rescue talking of many things, from their childhood, to their relationship, even their favorite kind of candy. But as it eventually sank in that they could die at any second, Ron promised her,
"Hermione, if, no, when we both make it through the war, we'll get married, and be together forever." They sealed it with a passionate kiss.

When they were broken free, and saw Voldemort's cold, lifeless body on the ground, Ron made good on his promise and proposed. The years following were simple married bliss, combining muggle conveniences Hermione was used to, such as cell phones, and the magical lifestyle Ron had been raised in.

Hermione had take and passed her apparation test, but Ron had refused, seeing no need for it. So, here he was calling her from a plane to New York. The Ministry of Magic had decided to build a branch in the states, and Ron was going to supervise, leaving a wife and two sons at home.

Two red-haired freckled sons, she noted, finally giving a wan smile.

"Mione? You still there?"

"Yes, yes..."

"I love you."

With a dry sob, she interrupted whatever Ron was going to say next. She started to apologize for all the things that she'd done wrong. All those moments, wasted, where she could have said and shown him how much she loved him.

"I would have loved you better, if only I'd known."

He said, "You were the perfect wife, 'Mione, promise me you'll go on with your life."

"The boys wont understand…"

"Tell them daddy loves them, and..." His voice broke, but emotion radiated from his voice as he continued, "Be strong, my love, my heart, my...Hermione"

Hermoine started sobbing as Ron said,

"Hon, i got to go…"

She said, "Don't you dare hang up! There's so much I have to say! I love you so much…"
It was almost like she felt him leave, crying out, "RON! Do you still hear me?"

She fell down on the kitchen floor
The signal died
As the pilot tried
To pull out of the dive
