Kol could count on one hand how many times he had been speechless in his 1000 years of existence.

The first time was when Enya, an unmarried human in the village had slapped Niklaus. He never knew what she had slapped him for, only Nik and Rebekah did, and Nik would always clam up and leave the room if asked about it, and Rebekah would just laugh.

The second time was in 1421. A girl he had been 'courting' (he was feeding from her, actually) had somehow acquired a vervain plant, and was using the leaves to make tea. When he compelled her at night not to scream or remember it went completely over her head. However, he didn't notice until she kneed him down below when he bit her. He killed her, obviously, but he was still speechless for a second or two.

The third time, (1893) a poa had been hoping to eat, had shot him in the leg while he was running at full speed. It was a lucky shot, and a complete fluke but it still made Kol speechless (and motionless) for however long it took the next 3 bullets to hit him. Needless to say, the poacher was killed too.

But now had to be the most shocking time for Kol. He had only been out of his coffin for 2 days and already he had been attacked by the Salvatores Katerina had turned. (He really should hunt Katerina down and punish her for turning such losers into Vampires..) The worst part of the attack though, the part that made him speechless, was being saved by the fifteen year old girl Rebekah was once friends with back when they were human, and back before she moved to a different village.

"I know you've been out of action for a while, Kol, but you really couldn't handle two baby vamps?" she asks and Kol is speechless at how different and yet how similar she looks from her human days. She's wearing an silver top with the words 'Huntress of Artemis' on it and tan cheenos (at least thats what he think Rebekah called them..) that looked suspiciously like his pair of old hunting pants that went missing when he was 17..

"Kloe. Here I thought Mikael staked you back in the 1200s?" Kol asked as he noted the odd colours in her hair, the faint human smell on her clothes and the way her body was subtly positioned in a fighting stance.

"Kol darling. Did you really expect me out of the picture that quickley? He couldn't catch me when I was human, how do you think he could kill me as a vampire? Besides, I haven't seen Rebekah in a millennia!" Kol grinned and held out his arm.

"Shall we then? I have a feeling Rebekah would like to see you too." She took his arm.

Hi guys, just a quick drabble thats been in my head all day. The third chapter for 'The Oracle of Delphi' is half way written and will be up no later than Monday. I will be putting a poll up on my profile about endgame ships for Lily, so vote because I really haven't got a clue to go with romance. Hope you enjoyed. x
