Summary: A tangy yet pleasing combination, with just a burst of citrus in her bite. (AU)

Rating: T (will be changed to Mature when those scenes come into play)

Warnings: A poor attempt at writing naughty scenes between one of my favourite OTP's

Disclaimer: I can barely own my apartment as it is, pretty sure being Masashi Kishimoto would help with that...

STRAWBERRY VINEGAR

Sakura toyed with how to describe her eyes in her online dating profile 'the deep green of fresh basil rimmed with custard' seemed a little over-kill even to her, but just leaving it at 'green' felt a little too plain. So, in the end, she settled for 'the colour of pistachios.'

Now all she had to address was her more glaring asset; her pink hair. Hair that is, of course, natural and not altered, despite what her - jealous - friend Ino says.

When trying to aptly describe her hair, Sakura knew not to go with 'strawberry coloured' for many reasons. The first being it clearly was just never gonna be her shade of pink.

Going the more enticing flower route - Ino approved this the most of course - lands Sakura on typing 'a cross between lotus and cherry blossom petals', over anything remotely fruit related.

Of course, all her meticulous planning is thanks to one particular traumatic date yesterday, halfway through their fruity dessert Sakura realized her error in describing her rosette strands as 'cherry coated locks'.

Suffice to say her date got his fill of cherry all right. Just not in the way he expected.

That's what brings Sakura to making sure her profile on 'LOVE Ritual' was immaculately put together and attracted exactly who she was hoping. Someone capable of surpassing her ex-boyfriend Sasuke with his Adonis-like features and brilliant mind (them being broken up didn't detract from her admitting at least that about him).

So maybe Sakura had set her standards a bit too high, but after her past experiences on dating sites she was forced to admit... she attracted the weirdos.

Not to say they didn't have admittedly charming undertones to their personalities, but that was mostly obscured from their more exuberant selves.

After many requests to go-out from Lee, she eventually agreed to on the condition he toned down his 'spirit of youth' a notch.

And he did, for a while, and their date was going really well surprisingly.

Up until it didn't.

Only she would go out with a guy that challenges a flustered waiter to a duel for 'her love' and proceeds to rip off his tuxedo in favour of the green jumpsuit he wore under.

So sue her, after all the past guys Sakura allowed herself to be a bit more thorough in her acceptance of dates.

This brought her to getting some well-needed advice from Ino, who in turn shoved her to LOVE Ritual with all its promises of fluffy romance blended with erotic loving participants. It was every single person's wet dream of a site.

And so, this brings Sakura to her current writing stump.

Her profile as it was right now didn't scream what she was going for - which was 'that girl that can take it from behind' (this obviously being not at all what she wanted but made her relax enough to giggle).

She fiddles around with her page a while longer and takes the time to choose the perfect set of photos to accompany her profile; a particular summer vacation she took with Ino that captured her floral bikini-clad petite physique while also bringing subtle attention to her curves, coupled with a more 'studious' picture of her playing shōgi with Shikamaru (and losing) in a comfy custom-made slug pyjama.

Ino had suggested much saucier photos, but Sakura wanted something that could potentially be long-lasting. She didn't want to give the impression of just wanting a date turned one-night stand.

Not to say Sakura doesn't enjoy the fun a one night - or even two-night stand - could bring because she did. After her blowout breakup with Sasuke, all her girls - namely Ino, Temari and Anko made it their mission to rope Sakura away from her studies and back into dating.

And those days were fun, not just because of the guys she woke up in bed with or the alcohol she downed. They reminded her of the Sakura she was before. Not the Sakura that was not only dating Sasuke but practically living for him. She became so distant from herself because of a guy. Except to her, he was the guy of her teenage dreams, the one she envisioned herself marrying.

He was Sasuke Uchiha. When he finally showed interest in her, Sakura Haruno the girl who hadn't grown into her large forehead, she was in absolute heaven.

This, of course, didn't last. She was the envy of all girls in their university, which she handled with grace - and sometimes a loaded fist - but what she couldn't handle was the constant stoicism, and his indifference to anything and everyone including her.

But, this was last year and this was now. Sakura was no longer inexperienced in relationships nor is she shy from sexual situations - all thanks to a certain blonde pig.

Sakura bites the side of her lip, where her smile tastes like the peaches she ate for breakfast.

"Love on!~"

Sakura gets long strands of hair stuck in her mouth from how quick she faced the now lit-up dating site. She ignores this and focuses on the lists of matches she got (she particularly grimaces when she sees a male version of Ino amidst them).

However, when Sakura is matched with a startling Sasuke lookalike - although he looks much paler - she's floored and can't believe he lives in the same district as her. How could she have missed another Uchiha living in their district?

Although as she scrolls through his minimalistic profile, Sakura finds any semblance of a family name absent. It seems like he'd only listed his first name.

Sai.

Sakura can't recall any Uchiha their age with that name but it's been awhile since she's spoken with any. This is bar the casual - awkward - outings with Sasuke she's dragged to by their mutual friend Naruto.

Trying to suppress her inner pleas of him hopefully not being an Uchiha, she focuses on why they were matched and finds it hard not to smile. After a while of texting (and trying really hard not to ask about his family), they decide their first date should be at an equidistant BBQ restaurant.

And when Sakura goes to bed she dreams of a picture-perfect date with Sai, with no sudden wardrobe changes whilst trying to ignore the likeness he has to Sasuke.

She doesn't succeed.

AN: I feel like this turned out so far from how it was in my mind. This is the issue with first fanfics, you keep second-guessing yourself *sigh*

I hope you enjoyed my dialogue-less writing but tbh when writing this I didn't realize there was no talking until I reread it. Anyway, this was just setting the scene for the actual plot (what plot?) that comes in later chapters.

This is unbeta'd so please point out any errors you see, I wish this was my first language but I'm still learning *sigh x2*

Reviews are sweet!~
