Everything...But Light
"I know everything." That is what he always said and always used to believe. He could tell you anything about past events, and perhaps if you pried hard enough, events in the future. He could tell you how you would live your life on a certain day of the year, and he certainly knows how everything in the world works...right?
Every scientific equation, every problem that one will ever have to face, he knows how everything works. Why does the Sun produce light? What are all the creatures that have gone extinct? What elements can be made in the future? What is the cure for cancer? All of these he can answer. Every single question one could have about the world. All but one.
Why do some people have the effect on others that calms people? How can they act like their own artificial light? Do they do it on purpose or is it all genuine? Do they take all of the peoples burdens for themselves, leaving only light for the others? But most importantly, what is this emotion that he is feeling himself? He, for the first time in his existence, felt a bit at ease.
A figure then tapped him on the shoulder. It's large eyeball staring at the man deep in thought. "Clockwork. There is another issue that you must fi-" The time master then swung his staff up to stop the Observant.
"I will fix it when the time is right. For now, everything is as it should be." He then stared at the Observant for a few seconds before saying, "You never will understand, will you? I know everything." The Observant then walked away, leaving Clockwork in peace. One thought crossed his mind made him laugh. For someone that knows everything, it is funny that he cannot comprehend the concept of light.
Author's Note: While I was about to fall asleep, one sentience snuggled deep into my brain and maid a plot bunny. The sentience was "For someone that knows everything, it is funny that he cannot comprehend the concept of light." Therefore, I just had to make a short drabble for it. I apologize if there is a similar idea out there, but I think that no one else made something like this. Also...HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE! I suppose now is the time that I'm supposed to say Read and Review...if you want to that is.
Disclaimer: I do not own Danny Phantom, Butch Hartman does.
