One day, Shigure was helping Tohru with the grocery shopping. Normally this job would have fallen to Kyo and Yuki, but Yuki was at Student council, and Kyo was at the dojo. So naturally, Shigure being as "helpful" as usual, he had accompanied Tohru.

They entered the store after stopping to buy Shigure a Coke at the local McDonalds. Suddenly, in the middle of the dairy aisle, Tohru turned to Shigure and said,

"Oh, I forgot the lemon! Could you go back and get some for me Shigure-san?" Shigure agreed, and then asked what Tohru needed it for. "Well,", she said, "If you think of a recipe as a story, a lemon is like the plot. You can centre an entire story around it, and it will usually turn out really well." All of this was said in her usual happy voice. Shigure left to get the flavorful citrus.

On the way there, taking a sip of his Coke, another meaning of her sentence occured to him.

It was the greatest spit-take EVER.

It also took the staff at the store five hours to clean up the blood from the accompaniying nosebleed. And Shigure could never look at a lemon, or Tohru, the same way again.
