"Where am I?" Misty was just in her soft bed but now was lying on the beach.

"I guess I fell asleep out here." She got up and was wiping sand off her.

"Misty!" She turned around to see the black haired child run to her.

'Why is he wearing that? He hasn't worn that since he was ten.' Misty knew something was up.

"Misty!!" His voice changed a bit this time, and he seemed taller from the distance.

'What's wrong with him?' She noticed how his clothes were changing as he ran.

"Misty!!!" He was much taller now as he ran in a hoodie through her.

"Ash?!" She started to take small steps forward, wondering what was happening.

"Misty!!!!" He was dressed in completely different clothes now as his voice and gotten a bit deeper again.

He was getting closer to Misty now as she realized her clothes had changed into new ones, clothing she had not seen before.

"There you are Mist!" He now stood before her. He was tall and muscular, with a small amount of stubble on his chin.

She was confused, but didn't care.

"I thought you were in Sinnoh."

"Misty, that was years ago."

"But, you just left. 6 months ago."

He just stared at her. That blank expression he always had.

Misty knew that this was very strange, but she still didn't care. As long as she could look into those chocolate eyes, she was content.

"I should go Mist."

"Huh?" She was still half in her trance.

"I said that I have to go."

"But...Why?..."

"Dawn's waiting for me."

"Wh...What?"

"I have to go now Mist. Bye" He hugged her softly before walking back into the horizon.

"What? No!" She ran after him, but no matter how fast she went, she couldn't reach him. She saw him start to disappear, as what seemed to be a magic trick.

"Ash! Wait!" But it was too late, he was gone.

'Is this my future? Am I looking forward at what will happen? No...No... It can't be. It just can't!' She stomped her foot to emphasize her words.

'No! This can't happen! He's not gonna be with her!' She fell to the ground as her eyes began to fill with water.

"...no...no, no, no..." She was crouched down on the sandy beach with no one around. This is how she felt most of the time, lonely.

Misty then opened her eyes to find herself in a dark room. It was her bedroom.

'It was just a dream? But it...it felt so real.' She wiped tears from her eyes as she remembered Ash telling her goodbye in her dreams.

Author's Note:

I don't really know how I got started on this one. I just feel like Misty would be in pain that Ash is away again. And no worries, Ash won't end up with Dawn (She's like ten and he's like way older). And sorry if you wanted Ash and May instead, I just thought it would be more dramatic if it was Dawn.
