I eyed the shriveling piece of meat.
Interesting how attached they were to their feelings, how much they loved the positive and shunned the negative. For my kind, we were able to keep them down by our kiss.
Nothing quite tastes like soul. It was our custom. I'm not sure what the meat thought it was, but really, the bite was our vacuum inside taking our that small silver of magic. The ones with sticks were much more delicious, as they had a fuller flavor.
But this one would do.
So I bit him.
Or rather, I tried.
The accursed words came from the one with a scar on his forehead.
"EXPECTO PATRONUM!"
No! Nothing tastes as good as a soul, and this one was particularly plump with so many warm–
I had no choice in the matter as I was thrown up in the air by the stag.
If I had a mouth, I would've growled right then.
I silently signaled my mate, but she was unable to respond before being tossed by the stag as well.
By then, we had gotten the message. We were unwelcome to feed here.
Pity.
