Proximity to Citadel

Prolouge

"Tali! Have you got anything yet?" yelled Matthew Shepard, slamming his fiat on the console. Alarms were flashing red on and off, it was quite nauseating. The room was dipping forwards quite alarmingly as well.

"I'm not getting anything! The console's damned near completely unresponsive. We're lucky we've still got life support!"

Shepard let out a small roar of frustration and turned to Garrus, yelling the same question he had asked Tali.

"Nothing! They've rigged this ship with top-level encryption codes. I doubt even Legion could crack this."

Shepard turned his back to them and began to pace, very quickly, up and down the bridge. He ranted as he went.

"Great. Just great. This'll look great in the history archives. 'Commander Matthew Shepard, first human spectre, saviour of the Citadel. Oh, he killed himself by crashing a damned ship."

The main console between Tali and Garrus beeped and Garrus leaned over to see what it said.

"Uh...Shepard. You know we're going to crash? It might actually be somewhere quite important."

Shepard marched over and looked at the console. There was a screen with a green dot, rapidly moving to a larger, white dot. Underneath these display, it said, 'Citadel ETA: 40 minutes'

"Shit." said Shepard, punching the console.
