Title: So Intricately Hidden
Rating: PG
Summary: Ryo wonders how Fubuki found the key to his heart; the key he'd so carefully hidden beneath his cool exterior.
Pairing: Ryo/Fubuki or Zane/Atticus
Notes: I wrote this awhile ago; back in 2010, so I was about 11 or 10. I changed it to sound a bit better, although it retains most of its original wording. The story is in italics because it's Ryo's thoughts, in case you're wondering.
EDIT: Someone had the nerve to say this needed more words. -.- Do they not know the meaning of the word drabble?! I guess not. A drabble is basically a short story that can be under 1,000 words. *sighs* People of today...
Why?
A question I'd ask myself often in life, but never would I receive my answer.
Being a duelist doesn't just mean wielding a duel disk. It's far more than that. Most people don't seem to understand such a thing. It's all about collecting the greatest cards, or perhaps becoming the top-duelist.
I'll admit that I once thought those foolhardy things.
I yearned to be the best, and push everyone else beneath me. Others didn't matter; why should they? I didn't know them, nor did I care too. And even those I did know, I'd crush beneath my feet to reach the top.
But then...
He appeared.
Fubuki.
I ignored him, at first. He was just an obstacle in my way. He was far too cheerful and bright, much like my younger brother or that Silfer. I refused to open up to him, and allow him entrance to my emotions and my heart.
But, somehow, he'd managed to open that tightly-locked gate.
I only wanted to know where he'd found the key.
Feel free to review and tell me your thoughts on the story. Flames will be ignored, so don't waste your time writing one. Thank you for reading my story.
