"And in my dreams I meet the ghosts of all the people who have come and gone.
Memories, they seem to show up so quick but they leave you far too soon"
-High Hopes, Kodaline
"Dean." The blue eyed angel says sounding slightly relieved. Dean steps forward slowly
"Cas..." he whispers out of joy and shock, but his happiness is short lived as he rememberes what his so called 'friend' did, "You son of a bitch." he continues.
"I am so sorry Dean." Cas states, his eyes full of pain.
"Sorry?" Dean asks staring intently into his deep blue eyes, "Your sorry? I am sorry, but thats not going to cut it, do you know what you put Sam and I threw? How many people died?" He nearly yells.
"I know there is nothing I can do to make it up to you, that we can never be as close as we where, but I want you to know that I feel... remorse." The angel stutters out.
"Good!" Dean yells, "Bobby is dead because of you!" He forces out, his eyes filling with tears.
A familiar voice comes from behind, "Its not all his fault, boy." It says.
"Bobby." Dean says as he turns around. Suddenly they are no longer in the the dirty motel, but in a bar that burnt down years ago. Dean looks around and sees a young blonde, her mother, and his own father. I am dreaming he realizes, but that does stop him from greeting each of them. Dean ends with a hesitant hug for Cas. As Dean backs up he sees Cas's light smile, "What?" Dean asks, half smiling himself.
"You are forgiving me." Cas say, unsure of himself.
"Wouldn't go that far," He tells his once friend, then slowly it all falls apart. His dad falls to the floor, a growing red blossom becomes visible on Jo's shirt, Ellen seems to burst into flames, a black trickle runs down Cas's face and his coat becomes drenched in water, and a gun shot wound appears on Bobby's forehead. "No," Dean whispers, "NO!" He yells again. Dean wakes up in the same room as he started, but this time he is aloe, except for his brother, who turns on the lights when he hears Dean scream.
"Are you OK?" The younger brother asks.
"Yeah, Sam I am fine." The older say, reaching for his flask.
"Are you sure?" Sam asks, worried for his brother.
"Yes." Dean answers, gathering as much conviction as possible.
"Okay." Sam says as he turns off the light, leaving Dean alone with his thoughts.
