Just read City Of Lost Souls and I'm absolutley in love with the whole SimonxIsabelle thing. This was the product of a late night and my depression when i finished the book. Enjoy and Review :)
Disclaimer: I own nothing :(
A cold wind blew Isabelle's long dark hair around her face obscuring her vision but she didn't brush it away. She wasn't really seeing the street around her or anything really except the face of a certain vampire. He kept popping up in her head precisely when she was trying to focus on something, anything else. The more she tried not to think about him the more she did. She tried to think of the many other guys who she had gone out with but found she couldn't remember their faces all that well instead her head was filled with him-Simon. Him smiling, laughing, the first time she had ever seen him just a brief glimpse at that club Pandemonium how he had changed from that skinny scrawny mundane to the more confident self-assured vampire that haunted her thoughts. But then again they all had changed.
She sighed loudly this walk was supposed to be clearing her head of him not the other way around. She resumed walking again and wandering downtown she didn't know how long she had been walking she just knew that she would walk until her head was clear of him and her own again. She didn't know how long that would take but she would walk around for the whole night if that's what it took. She focused her mind on demons and weapons and different attack techniques. That lasted for about a whole two minutes before she remembered a time a little while ago when Simon told her possibly the worst joke about demons ever heard. It had been the first time she had laughed since Jace disappeared and when she realized what she had done she had shut her mouth and didn't talk for next the 10 minutes. Damn she thought back to square one.
And so she walked on with a fierce determination that came from years of practice and getting what she wanted. Lost in her thoughts she didn't realize where she was and where she was going until she stopped suddenly in front of a building. With a sharp tugging feeling coming from somewhere in her chest she realized she was standing outside of Simon's apartment. Before she even finished forming the thought in her mind she was already yanking open the building and rushing up the stairs. She had to see him, speak to him, anything. She was surprised at her startling lack of willpower when it came to Simon. She never chased after any guy and now here she was showing up on his doorstep in the middle of the night. She had no idea what she was going to say but she needed to say something it was getting maddening having him in her head all day long and something needed to be done. So before she lost her nerve she raised her fist and banged hard on the door sucking in a deep breath and waiting for whatever was on the other side.
