Just Across the River Jordan

Just across the River Jordan,

There's a land of milk and honey

Where there shall be none

Who still weep with tears of misery.

A land with streets of gold

Laid by the Master Builder,

And where none will ever again be old

Due to the shed Blood of the Redeemer.

All tears of any sad kind at all will be eternally dried,

And no sorrows will somehow visit any longer

The hearts of the truly saved, because in

Heaven or Earth no evil shall ever again appear.

Mortal eyes have never seen,

Nor mortal ears ever heard,

Any of the things of wonder

That will be known eternally in times without end.

Through the Eastern Gate

We will all go, on the straight and narrow path,

On a quite-unknown future calendar date,

Into the infinitely precious New Jerusalem that forever shines with a most Divine Light.

We will see the Patriarchs of humanity and of Israel from long ago,

And untold numbers of other people from all over the world who also looked forward

For many past centuries, whether from recent times or from quite long ago,

To being forevermore in Paradise with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

The lion and the lamb shall lie down together,

And war shall never again be learned,

For all the former evil things in any way reminiscent of death

And violence shall forever be unremembered as needed.

No darkness shall reign evermore,

For night will never again be seen

Because of the Light of God forever

Shining on Earth and in the infinite Heavens.
