The storm is coming, Araluen stands upon an edge of a knife. For the past fifteen years Araluen has been participating in a genocide against the people from the other world. It started when Queen Lara a year after she gave birth to her daughter Cassandra walked the streets of Araluen Castle, greeting the fellow citizens of her city. A man named Jason appeared from the side streets brandishing a knife, Queen Lara's guards saw the threat and contained it, and not realising it was a distraction. The real threat came from behind from a man named Eric, he shoved a needle in the back of Queen Lara's neck and injected the contents. Queen Lara was dead before a cry came out, Eric was a man from the other world and escaped before the guards could react.
The next day was the funeral of Queen Lara, her body was cleaned and dressed for the ceremony. Her husband stayed by her side, crying with their daughter not that far away. The priests of the gods came into the room and asked if King Duncan could take their daughter away, as they will need to perform the last rights. King Duncan did not want to go but knew that the rights needed to be perform in private.
The ceremony began a bit after noon, her body was placed in a cart covered with a satin cloth. Castle Araluen was placed in mourning as she was delivered to the royal tombs. King Duncan was carrying his daughter in front of his wife's body, who was following by a detachment of knights led by Lord Northolt. She was paraded through the streets, to the royal tombs at the bottom of the cemetery.
The candle flickered to life in the tomb as Queen Lara was bought within a concrete tomb, shaped with her body. This tomb was created when she was crowned, to remember her beauty, if she was ever to die. She was placed within the tomb and sealed within. King Duncan asked the people to leave him alone with his wife. A maid came over and picked up Princess Cassandra and took her away. King Duncan went down on his knees and wept for his lost love.
'By all that is holy in this world,' he said. 'All those of the race that did this to you, will be killed.'
And with that he stood up and left the royal tomb. A man stood hidden behind the tomb of the last King of Araluen. When King Duncan left, the man made his move. He went over to the tomb of Queen Lara and pushed the top of the tomb open enough to view her. He reached down and injected a substance into Queen Lara. She began to stir and opened her eyes while smiling.
'Fancy meeting you here Eric,' she said.
'Well I couldn't leave my sister alone.' Eric said.
'I guess my murder was successful,' she asked.
'Yes,' Eric said. 'The gang of the crescent moon thinks you are dead, so your family will be same, as well as your unborn child.'
Over the next few days King Duncan order a culling of all people from the other world. The knights began to kill all of the people from the other world. It was a month later when the captain of the royal knights was doing his morning exercise when a portal opened and he pulled out his sword and came to investigate. He was a few feet away when he heard the crying. He sheathed his sword and walked upon a baby. He decided to help this child and took him in his arms. He decided to give the child to the blacksmith of castle Araluen, after all he is a friend. The captain looked at the blanket covering the child, it had a name on it Jonathan Kelly and this is his story…
