"What? This isn't right! Could it be?" a bewildered worker said out loud.
"Status report?" the commander said.
"The satellite radars are picking up an enormous object on a direct course for Earth!" he replied.
"Put it up on screen!" the commander ordered.
The large screen at the front of the room flickered then a spaceship came up on the screen. A silence spread throught the room.
"Use all forms of contact! I want to know if this thing is a friend or foe!"
"I don't think that's necessary, sir," said a fearful monitor personnel.
"Why's that?" asked the commander.
"They sent us a message, sir," he replied.
"Let me see!" the commander jumped down from his post and came to the computer that presented the message.
"I used the decoder on the message, sir."
"Good, good…" the commander said in a daze.
Present all of your resources and your deaths shall be quick.
The commander's face turned slightly pale. "S-sound the alarm; have all ships launched and ready for battle! Contact the president and prepare evacuation plans!" he ordered now regaining his senses.
It was a sunny day in the city of Feint. The trees were green, the flowers were bloomed,
and the birds sang their happy song; all seemed in order. Jack looked out of his
backdoor, the sight was beautiful. He sighed and looked up at the sky. It was a clear,
blue sky. Elaine, his wife, walked up behind him and put her arms around him. They stood there admiring the scenery for a small while when a phone ring broke the silence. Jack left to pick up the phone.
"Hello?" Jack said.
"Jack?" said the voice on the other end.
"Yes?" he replied.
"We have a little problem here; a Phaze is coming to pick you up (A Phaze is a vehicle that uses levitation technology to navigate). You will be updated on the situation upon your arrival," the voice said.
Jack turned to his wife with a look of confusion.
"Who was it?" she asked.
"… A guy from work, they seem to be having an issue. They're going to pick me up in one of their vehicles," he said.
"Okay, make sure you're home for supper," she said in a slightly worried voice.
The Phaze pulled up to their driveway and two men came out.
"Bye," Jack said to her.
"Sir, if you will just come with us, we will escort you to the Mission Control Base," one of the two said.
