This is Dally's poem to Ponyboy
Disclaimer: I do not own the Outsiders!
Like me
I used to wonder why you like sunsets so much
Until I watched one on my own
All those colors blending together to become a bright hue of happiness and hopefulness
They make you feel invincible, on top of the world, like nothing can touch you
But hey, I'm Dallas Winston
I am invincible; nothing can touch me because I am tuff
At least that is what I thought
But now Johnny is dead
And I am running from the fuzz pulling out my unloaded heater
Sunsets are worthless, fake
All that hope and happiness is fake, not real
Sunsets don't really make you invincible
You've got to make yourself that way
