"The city of Amity park is in chaos. Our beloved once-hero, Danny Phantom, seems to have done a complete 180 turn, destroying the ghost hunters he once fought alongside and laying waste to the town he once strived to protect. No one knows what caused the change, only that we are completely unprepared for a ghost attack of this magnitude; there have been scattered attacks on a number of public and private buildings and several isolated, seemingly random murders. People in the streets-where the streets are not deserted-are running for safety, but whether that, safety, is even an option at this point is in dispute. Danny does not appear to be past anything anymore and, without our city's protectors, he cannot be stopped from doing whatever he pleases. Just what is that, though? We have Tom live on the scene, how's it looking out there Tom?"
"It's looking pretty gruesome out here, Jill. Behind me is the ruined Town Hall where several bodies can be seen in the rubble and injured survivors are trying to escape with the help of the fire department." Danny flew above the news reporter who seemed to be talking about him. But then-everyone was talking about him, it was quite flattering. The reporter looked up and spotted Danny and motioned to the camera man to turn the camera toward him. "It looks like we have Danny right here, what a turn. Care to address the public Danny?" Danny couldn't think of a reason why not. He flew dong and stood next to the reporter.
"Now Danny, am I to understand that you have become irrevocably evil?
"That's right Tom"
"Now, there's some rumours going around that you may be from an alternate dimension and that you killed the real Danny Phantom upon arriving here. Is there any merit to this theory?"
"None at all Tom. I'm the same Danny Phantom who's been here all along, just with different ideas. It should be noted, however, that I did separate from and kill my human side, so I'm not entirely the same person I was before."
"And why did you do that?"
"For the same reason that I'm destroying the city now. I decided that humans aren't a people I wanted to be connected with, that they were flawed, narrow-minded beings and did not deserve the sway they held in the universe. I think it's about time for ghosts to be recognized as people too and for humans to see how it feels to be targeted for no reason."
"And has it occurred to you that maybe by doing this you are hurting the image of ghosts in humans eyes, rather than helping it. I mean-how can someone who kills indiscriminately and without reason be a 'person'?"
"Well I could ask the same question of just about any ghost hunter Tom. And I do realize that I am likely hurting my image and the image of my people, but why should we care what you think of us? And I should say that my actions in no way reflect the beliefs of all of ghost kind, who retain the right to think and act as individuals."
"Alright then. I've heard that the bodies of those who were closest to you were found in a wrecked hospital building, what are your thoughts?"
"My thoughts? I guess…did they feel it? I'm not sure Tom, I killed them and won't regret it but I'm not totally heartless, not yet anyway."
"Well you heard it here first, straight from the horse's mouth."
"Oh, and, one more thing"
"What's that?" Tom looked over at Danny. Danny blasted him with his ghost ray, killing him instantly, smiled at the camera, and flew off.
