You push away anyone that could possibly care for you, why is that?

She knew the answer of course, she just didn't want admit it. Whenever she cared she got hurt. The bitches she had as friends had backstabbed her more times than she cared to count. Her parents' marriage failed and her dad found a new wife. The only people she could count on were herself. If she didn't care she didn't get hurt. Except she did. Jesse had somehow wormed his way inter her broken exterior. He had even got her into the breakfast club. Now she was breaking, he asked her to figure it out except she couldn't. It wasn't like she kneaded him, she was beca she needed nobody. Yet he seemed to put thing in perspective for her.

So that's why she stood outside his dorm room, at 3 in the morning. She couldn't sleep, he needed to know. When he opened the door the shock was written on his face.
"Beca?" she inhaled, remembering the benefit of this talk.
"Can I come in…. please?" he let her in. She pretended like Benji wasn't there.
"So you asked me to figure it out." Jesse looked at her in hope.
"I'm not good with this crap… feeling aren't my strong point but you wanted to know so here it goes. It was nothing to do with you but me. I grew up and as you know I never had many girlfriend's that was because they were all backstabbing so I hung out with the lads. I never really got along with them in a way that warranted me to you know have feelings towards them. Anyway life was ok I had the boys and my parents but my parents started arguing. Eventually they got a divorce and I became cold and closed off. My friends' left me and I was alone. You wanted to know why I push people away. It's because it's easier than them hurting me." Jesse looked at her, his heart pounding. He forgave her anyway but now he felt mad at himself. He pushed her away. Beca shifted uncomftable.
"I'm sorry…. I get it if you can't forgive me….. I just thought you should know" she turned to leave. Jesse grabbed her wrist and spun her around. "I'll chase you whether you want me to or not." He then kissed her. He placed his hands on her hips and pulled her closer. Beca placed her hands on the back of his neck. They were interrupted by Benji.
"Do that somewhere else please" both of them laughed. Beca smiled.

Maybe Jesse didn't need to be pushed away.
