PLEASE NOTE: This story is an AU based from the end of book 5 to the start
of book 6. It is also my first Fan-Fic, so please bear with me. – Jayen.
DISCLAIMER: I own none of JK Rowlings Characters, and I don't pretend to. The only character that I own is the main character, Jayen Marquez Liau, who I have used in many of my own short stories and a few other Fan-Fic's which are as still yet to be published on any website. I am sorry if I have infringed on any copyrights, but such are the ways of Fan Fiction.
CREDITS: I would like to credit this Fan Fiction to JK Rowling due to her (heinous crime as some would say) "removal" of Sirius Black (a very sad thing indeed). I agree it did make the book more interesting, but I still don't feel any better about it. Just though you'd all like to know why I wrote it.

Only a short while after Harry had left Dumbledore's office, still sulking about Sirius's death, a tall cloaked figure left the stairs and walked over to the big desk.
"Ah, Jayen. I was wondering when you'd come." Dumbledore greeted the figure, his eyes filled with sorrow. "I am sorry for your loss. I should not have let him go."
The figure removed its hood, revealing a pale, yet beautiful face framed with long black hair. Her green eyes gleamed like emeralds, and recent tears had left trails down her cheeks.
"It was not your fault Dumbledore. Sirius was never one for sitting back while others did all the dangerous work." The woman sat down in the chair that Harry had vacated. "So it's true then, Voldemort is back?"
Dumbledore nodded and sighed. "Yes. As much as I wish it was not so, he is back. The society is back together again. There is a place for you there, still. That is, if you wish to join." He looked at her, his old blue eyes pleading.
"After all that's happened, yes. But only for Sirius." Jayen paused, taking a deep breath. "You know Sirius and I were married?" Dumbledore nodded. "We were expecting our first child." A fresh wave of tears began falling down her cheeks. "I told him only yesterday morning. He was so happy. So proud." She hastily wiped away the tears. "I'm sorry. I should control my emotions better." She sniffled slightly.
"Come now Jayen. It is all right to cry. It's what makes us human. And to be expecting a child, that is a wonderful thing. You should be happy, and proud. Sirius died doing what he wanted to do. Fighting evil." Dumbledore stood up and shuffled around the desk to her. "Crying is important for life. As long as we can cry, there will always be hope for the future, for there is no happiness without at least some sadness." He touched her shoulder gently. "Sirius would have wanted you to be happy for him." He moved away, and went back to his seat behind the desk, steepling his hands upon it once he had sat down. "Now, you are welcome to stay here until the end of term, and then join the rest of us at Grimould Place. And I would be glad if you did. And I would be most especially grateful if you joined the teachers and myself for dinner in the Great Hall tonight." Dumbledore smiled gently at Jayen.
She nodded and swallowed. "I'd like that, thank you Dumbledore." She stood up slowly. "I'll see you later on tonight then."
Just as she was about leave, Dumbledore spoke again. "You are always welcome here Jayen. And please, call me Albus."
Jayen smiled ruefully as she left, descending slowly down the stairs. It was her first real smile since she had felt Sirius's death.
