Francis gripped his rifle anxiously.
"Oh my…" he muttered silently, arching his back so it was straight with the tree. He looked over at Arthur, the nation was gripping his rifle in a similar manner and trying not to hyperventilate.
Francis grasped the barrel, his finger lowering dangerously more and more to the trigger.
Those things were out there…. looming in the distance, like massive clouds of black with white eyes, no pupils, staring in any direction that the head would allow it… Francis suppressed a shudder.
What the hell was he supposed to do next? He and Arthur were pinned. He cursed under his breath, looking at Arthur again who was expressing the same fear through his eyes.
Francis looked back up at the sky behind the tree canopy, sending up a silent prayer to a God he didn't know. But if He was real, well, this would be a better time then ever to reveal himself.

Day 1~ UnKnown Island 9:47 AM
"Dammit Arthur!" Francis shouted. "Once again, you've gotten us into a situation that we can't get out of! Screw you!" he shouted angrily, wandering away from the group and towards the tree line.
"Shut up Francis! I don't see you doing anything to help!" Arthur retaliated, shouting and waving his arms above his head.
"France nii-chan!" Feliciano shouted, running down the beach towards Francis who hadn't stopped.
"F-Feliciano!" Ludwig shouted in shock. "Noo! Stop! Don't go with Francis, he'll molest you!" he shouted, making for the italian and grabbing his arms to hold him back.
"But Arthur is scccccaaarrrryyyy!" Feliciano shouted in protest, struggling away from the ripped german.
"I'l take care of you just hold still, dammit!" Ludwig shouted angrily. Feliciano stopped struggled, placing a delicate pointer finger to his lips, he cocked his head slightly, "Will there be pasta?"
Ludwig sighed, then said, "Yes, but you'll have to make it."
"YEAAAAAA! PAAAASSSSTTTTAAAA!~" Feliciano shouted, bringing one foot up behind him and raising a fist to the air.
"Yea fine, alright, just stay here," Ludwig said. "I'm going to have a heart attack…" he muttered angrily. Feliciano smiled, blissful stupidity written all over his face and Ludwig sighed aggravatingly.
Meanwhile Francis was ignoring the whole exchange that had been proceeding behind him, as he pushed himself through the bushes and trees, he turned around to shout one more insult at Arthur.
"You know what?"
"What Frog?"
"I can make snails taste better then the crap you make!"
Arthur's jaw dropped, he blushed instantly, as he always did when his food was mentioned. His mind raced for a witty comeback but Francis was already amidst the trees.
Ivan looked out over the waters, serene and peaceful, like his beautiful snow covered lands in the short summer. Jeez, it was warm here, he thought in an annoyed manner. But the ocean was so peaceful, he could hardly hear the angry french and british yells behind him.
Next thing he knew, his beloved Yao was beside him.
"It's so annoying, isn't it, aru?" he asked, folding his arms. Ivan looked down at the shorter nation, interest perking up in his eyes.
"It's fun." Ivan contradicted bluntly. "I grew up very differently, my home is very large and very snowy and people hate each other quietly. So noisy foolishness is fun to me."
Yao cocked his head closing his eyes. "Whatever, aru. It's just that, I find it kind of annoying, aru, because I didn't grow up like that."
The russian studied the smaller Chinese man curiously. If only his little Lithy was here… maybe Toris could help him.
Ivan shrugged, looking down as the water lapped his boots. Yes, this island, as warm as it was, would become a part of him one day….
Kiku looked horrified, "Francis-kun! Please, come back!" he said worriedly. "We don't know what's out there!" he gripped his katana tightly, rushing after the frenchman.
Francis looked back at Kiku, "There's no way I'm staying there with that moron!" Francis shouted at Kiku, before turned around and continuing to walk away angrily.
"Yes, but that doesn't mean we need to be irrational!" Kiku said, running up and grabbing Francis's shoulder.
Francis frowned, turning around. "Why should I go back?"
Kiku's frown was equally angry. "Because you'll die alone!" he said. Even though the Frenchmen was a little taller then Kiku, he didn't stop. "You should never die alone! You should always have friends around you when you die. If you die alone," Kiku said, sadly, looking down slightly, "You'll have no one to give your heart to."
Francis was shocked. This was the same man that had exchanged massive blows with Alfred, ruthlessly dropping bombs on that small paradise that Alfred loved so much. Francis was very surprised.
"So you should always die with friends around you!" Kiku finished up, returning his gaze to Francis' and letting go of his shoulder. "Please come back to the beach." Kiku said. "I really don't want Arthur to cook." he said, smiling slightly.
Francis chuckled. "Alright!" he said, slapping the asian on the back and walking back towards the beach.
"FRANCE NII-CHAN!" came the enthusiastic reply when France and Japan emerged from the trees. Feliciano ran up to Francis and said, "Ohh boy~! I was so worried, you and Kiku had left and then you would have been eaten by some evil bear or something!"
"Soo," Alfred said cooly, moving up and raising an eyebrow at Francis and Kiku. "What were you two doing in the woods?" both nations went red.
"You a pervert." Yao said from behind Alfred, his arms crossed and a displeasing look on his face.
"DUDE!" Alfred shouted in protest. "I didn't mean it like that! It was a genuine question!" he said, turning red.
"Don't think anything!" Francis said. "We were just talking. Kiku convinced me to come back." he pulled his sleeve up to his elbow, "To beat your face in!" he shouted, swinging an eager anger filled punch towards Arthur.
The brit dodged it, "What the hell did I do?" he asked
"You got us stuck here, remember?" Francis asked, running forward and planting a fist in Arthur's gut.
The brit doubled over and coughed, small blood spots flickered on to the sand. Resting his hands on his legs he wiped his mouth clean and moved forward, but before either of them could do anything more, Ludwig had stepped in.
The german threw a branch that hit both of them on the head.
"WILL THE TWO OF YOU JUST SHUT UP?" he shouted. Sitting down with his jacket over his shoulders, beside him Feliciano shouted,
"Ludwig HOME RUNN!" Alfred bumped the sky with his fist. Russia smiled and both Yao and Kiku frowned and shook their heads.
Francis grasped the welt on his head. "Owww~" he said angrily. "You didn't have to do that."
"Yes he did." Yao said
"Who asked you?" Arthur shouted.
Ivan laughed.
America smiled, "Everyone, be quiet and listen to the hero!" No one listened.
Ludwig sighed.
Feliciano smiled.
And no one said anything….
Five seconds passed.
"I'm hungry." Feliciano said.
"I'll cook something!" Arthur shouted triumphantly.
"NO!"

Day 1 ~ UnKnown Island 3:52 AM
Francis lay on his back, hearing the screeches and cries of the forest. Tons of screeches and cries too, almost as though the very forest was scared of the beings that lurked in it.
Francis winced as a loud cry went up over the trees. He curled himself up into a ball, poor Feliciano was in the arms of Ludwig who looked pretty scared himself.
Even the great Ivan was afraid, sitting up and staring at the forest.
Francis wanted nothing more then to relight the fire, but Kiku has suggested to put it out in case it overwhelmed them while they were sleeping.
Now the coals simmered blindly, Francis wanted nothing more then to add tinder and blow harshly on it.
He looked up to the sky only to see the light of the moon blocked by an endless rampage of clouds...

Day 2 ~ UnKnown Island, 1:00 PM
Francis dropped the wood on the ground. Wiping the sweat off his brow, he moved aside as Russia set down a bigger pile beside his. He felt useless.
Feliciano smiled, stirring the little pot full of seafood pasta. "Lunch is almost ready!" he said happily.
Francis looked at the young, smaller country and smiled. He was trying to be brave like everyone else, but the effects of last night's sleep, (None by the way, none of them had slept) had taken a drastic toll on them.
Francis had finally offered to go and get wood, as long as Ivan came with him, because nothing scared the large nation, except for his little sister of course...
Ivan had agreed, though both were extremely uneasy to get the wood and practically sprinted out of the forest.
Francis now desperately tried to regain his cool, feeling Arthur's gaze upon his back, he stood straight, turned around he smiled like nothing had happened.
Kiku slowly walked up, "Did you guys see anything?" he asked nervously. "I mean... did you guys see anything?"
Francis and Ivan both shook their heads.
"To be honest," Ivan said, "Neither of us were to keen to look around."
"But now that you mention it..." Francis said, placing a finger on his stubble and looking at the sky, "I think I might have seen something..." he closed his eyes, deep in thought, squinting them shut.
"Maybe, a sort of... door?" he asked himself. "Looked reinforced."
"Is it worth looking at?" Alfred asked, him and the rest of the nations joining in on the conversation.
"Is possible." Francis said, letting his hand drop to his side.
Ludwig frowned, in equal thought. "If it's reinforced," he said slowly, "Then it'll be better then staying out here where we have next to no protection." a vein popped out in his forehead and he frowned, cocking his head down. "But it'll require an amazing amount of teamwork." he looked up at Arthur, "And you should go to recon first."
Arthur was shocked, "W-W-Why me?" he asked dumbfounded.
"Because you got us into this mess, dude." Alfred answered.
Arthur looked scared, "At least someone should go with me!" he said in protest. "Frog-face got Ivan!" he grabbed the arm of Ludwig, "Which means you're coming with me, dammit!" and he attempted to drag the much better built german to the trees.
Francis smiled evilly. This was good, at least he wouldn't have to go back into that hell hole.

Day 2 ~ UnKnown Island, 3:12 PM
Arthur stumbled through the trees, Ludwig right behind them. Both had their hands on their knees and were breathing heavy enough to make the others worry.
Yao ran up, "Let me see you," he said, looking at the two men and checking for injuries.
Ivan looked back at the trees, "What happened?" he asked.
Arthur pulled up his sleeve to reveal a long gash up his elbow to Yao. The chinese man gasped slightly and began to bandage his wounds.
"We found the vault." Arthur began. "It's rusted, it'll be hard to open, but we looked all the way around and there's no other opening. So, it should be safe to stay in. We couldn't open it up, but it should hold us all, or at least provisions."
"Alright, we'll open it tomorrow." Alfred said, before adding, "But we're all going and we're keeping the fire up tonight."

Day 3 ~ UnKnown Island, 12:32 AM
Ludwig stood up, pulling his jacket off on throwing it on the ground, he said, "Alright. Sun's pretty high. Let's get moving."
The other nations agreed, and set out, Arthur and Ludwig leading the way.
None of them were easy, all were jumpy. Kiku continued to grasp the hilt of his katana, Ludwig's pistol was jumpy in his hands.
When they finally reached the vault door, they all gathered around it and pulled/pushed as hard as they could.
"Dammit," Arthur scowled, using all of the very little muscle he had. "This is really heavy."
Even with Ivan pushing, after a few minutes the eight of them couldn't get it done.
"Screw it," Alfred said, letting go and placing his hands on his head. "There's no way we're gonna get this freaking door open. It's, like, really heavy!"
"That doesn't mean we don't stop trying." Ludwig said.
"Right." Feliciano agreed, an unmatched look of pathetic determination written on his face.
"You haven't really done anything." Ludwig said in an almost depressed tone.
"Yea I have." Feliciano said, smiling, "I've made pasta!"
Arthur kicked the dirt. "I could have helped cook," he said sourly, which was met by another
"NO."
Arthur shoved his hands furthur into his pockets, scowling and kicking the dirt again.
"OI!" he said, grabbing his foot and letting out a thick stream of cuss words. "Oi! You bloody wanker! Dammit, this hurts!" he said.
Francis chuckled, "Well, mon ami, that's just karma I suppose, no?" he asked, trying not to outright laugh.
"Francis! This isn't funny! There's something there! I don't know what it is but it shouldn't have been there."
Ludwig leaned down, digging into the dirt to reveal a massive tribal helmet made of foreign metals.
"Whoa, what's that?" Yao asked, copying all the other nations and bending over Ludwig to examine the helmet over his shoulder.
"What the hell...?" Ludwig asked himself, turning the helmet over in his hands and weighing it in his dirty palms.
Dulled but not rusty, the helmet was flatter and wider across, with no bottom, as though it would merely sit upon the shoulders of the one bearing it. A massive triangle was indented in the forehead, there was beads running down the sides.
The bushes rustles.
In an instant, Kiku's katana was unsheathed, and Ludwig had let off three bullets into the still cowering leaves.
In all the excitement, Feliciano had knocked the helmet out of Ludwig's hands, stumbling backwards and slamming it against the door. The triangle in the helmet connected with the door, the wheel spun chaotically, and the door swung open, slamming against Feliciano on the way open.
Face planting, the poor pizza and pasta lover fell to the ground, which his rump high in the air, and stayed there, whimpering softly.
Francis smiled, "Way to go Feliciano!" he shouted victoriously, seeing the provisions stocked up inside.
"Wait." Kiku said. "We don't know what's in there." he pointed out.
"Leave that to the hero!" Alfred shouted obnoxiously, walking inside of the large closet. He made it about 12 feet inside before hitting the wall with a massive thump.
"You okay Alfred?" Ivan asked, he and all the other nations peering from outside.
"AHHH MY BEAUTIFUL FACCCCCEEE!" Alfred shouted, clutching his face in his hands and stumbling backwards.
Arthur frowned, sighing, "Yup, he's alright."
Francis smiled, "At least nothing happened to my beautiful face," he said pointing at himself before recieving a slap in the face from Alfred who was clutching his face with one hand.
"Owww!" Francis said, grasping, "Mon ami, you did not need to do that!" he whined, holding his cheek.
Alfred folded his elbows, grinning as his eyes hit the floor. "Don't pretend like you didn't deserve that, wanker."
And Francis hit him.
"Stop it!" Kiku shouted, suddenly, "Do you really think that this is the time for that?" he asked. "There's something out there, we don't know what it is."
"He's right, aru." Yao said, "We can't afford to fight amongst ourselves. If we go down, then our territories go down, aru. We can't leave our territories for someone like Prussia to retake, right aru?"
Ivan smiled, "Da, I would take that opportunity." he grinned happily, causing all the other nations to shudder.
Ludwig nodded, fisting his hands. "Right. From this point on, we'll have each other's backs and we'll take care of each other and fight off whatever's here. We'll be a team and get off this stupid island."
Feliciano smiled, "Yea! Doitsu!" he said, placing his hand in the middle of the small circle the nations had established.
Ludwig smiled and nodded, following Feliciano's example, and set his hand on top of his friends. Kiku was next, followed by Yao, Ivan, Francis, and Arthur, and finally Alfred.
"Hell yea!" Alfred shouted, grinning obnoxiously.
The other nations smiled at his sudden outburst, before taking their hands apart.
Ludwig placed a hand to his chin thoughtfully, "What we'll need first is a base of operations..." he said.
Ivan frowned, "Well, we can't use this, da? We can't all fit in here and it would be really cramped even without the shelves." he pointed out.
"Right, aru." Yao agreed with his stalker. "I think we'll have to make a base. We'll need timber, reinforcements, a place to shoot from, and a place to store supplies and a fire pit, aru."
Feliciano smiled, "And somewhere to cook pasta!"
Ludwig nodded at Yao, ignoring the italian he said, "Good. It'll need to be big, we don't want to be to close to Francis.
At this the frenchman smiled and Arthur gave a sick smile, "Uhh, yea, right..." he said slowly.
Francis grinned, his eyes going to the ground as he cocked one foot cooly.
No one really knew how to respond to this, so Yao clapped his hands, smiling affectionately.
"Well then! Shall we get started, aru?
"Ivan-you, Alfred and Kiku go and get some timber, aru. Make trees fall!
"Arthur, you and Francis start planning out the things needed, and dig the hole for the fire pit, aru."
"What am I gonna do, Yao?" Feliciano asked, and Yao smiled,
"I need to collect herbs for healing things... Bring all of the cooking things here, okay aru?
Ludwig, I want you to go through the closet. Don't take everything and relock it with the helmet. We'll find somewhere to put it why we're working aru..."
Ludwig nodded, tipping his hat before turning around to search the closet.

Day 3~ UnKnown Island 1:31 AM
Ivan wiped the sweat off his brow, gripping his shotgun.
He and Kiku were on guard, the other nations were still trying to finish the base.
So far the skeleton had been established, but with everything that went bump in the forest, no one had stopped working since 1:40, when the project had started.
Now, things were going bump in the night and Ivan and Kiku had been placed on watch.
If it was to be considered just a simple island hut, then they would have been fine. But this was the third time they were adding extra precautions. Their base looked more like a long mountain cabin then anything else, with parts of the metal door melted down to reinforce the shooting places and place about 30 different locks on the one and only entrance/exit.
The extra provisions and healing supplies were in a locked underground closet, used for bomb shelter if necessary.
Ludwig had hit the jackpot with the storage cabinet. Whoever had stocked it had known what they were going against.
Tons of heavy guns, M4s, heavy machine guns, snipers on tri-pods, even a few grenade launchers, and extreme amounts of extra ammunition, along with tons of grenades. Something called M., which America insisted were 'Meals Ready to Eat' something he gave his soldiers, along with 30 massive medical kits.
Russia grasped his shotgun, his favored range weapon, thinking of everything that they had found.
Now he and Kiku were stuck on guard duty until someone needed him, then he would be replaced by Arthur.
He forced his eyes to stay open, shaking his head, trying not to show how tired he was to the enemy.
This would be a long night...
Hetalia~!
Day 4 ~ UnKnown Island 2:00 PM
"Hey Ivan!" Arthur shouted, walking up to the massive russian stretched out over the ground. "Wake up, will you? It's 2 in the afternoon." he said.
Ivan let out a lion's yawn and smacked his jaws together.
"You will let me sleep more, da?"
"Sorry, can't allow that. Yao's orders." Arthur said, moving away to wake up Kiku.
Russia frowned. He couldn't argue with his beloved Yao. "Fine," he said in an angered tone, pushing himself up off the floor.
He grabbed his shotgun, laying right next to him, and walked out the heavy door.
"What's up, buttercup?" Alfred said, walking past him, into the house.
Ivan set the bottom of the shotgun on his shoulder, walking outside he blinked into the annoying sun.
"Renovations are done, da?" he asked, approaching Yao and Ludwig.
Ludwig gave a curt nod, "Ja. We finished after you went to bed." he said, drinking his coffee.
"Here, aru." Yao said, extending a cup of coffee to Ivan
Ivan grabbed the coffee hungrily, draining it quickly, though he still found himself exhausted. The slow working effects of the coffee were to slow for the snow wielding russian.
Even with the screams and groans that were amplified now that they were in the forest, Ivan found no trouble falling on the bedless floor into a deep slumber.
Though he woke up once to a scream that seemed to be in his ear, and again to the sound of Alfred letting an M4 loose through one of the windows, the free nation's screams of, "GO TO HELL YOU MOTHER-," set him right back to sleep.
Just like home.
Francis pulled a hand back through his hair, breathing deeply as he placed the timber back over his shoulder and continued forward. He and Arthur were on their own, in the forest, in an uncharted area with those crazy things that haunted their dreams...
He heard a rustling and murmurs. Dropping the timber with a soft clank, he pushed himself behind a tree, wild eyes looking to Arthur.
Arthur did the same, looking at Francis and mouthing, "What the hell?"
