Pillow Talk

They lay side by side, bodies covered by a fine sheen of sweat, cooling in the night air. They were on a blanket on Jack's deck, having made love as the sun went down. Jack rolled onto his side and drew Sam to him, flipping the edge of the blanket up to cover them.

"Good?" he asked, even though he knew the answer.

"As always," she rolled over to face him.

"Ever feel bad about breaking the regs?" he asked.

"Never. In fact, I think it adds a certain spice to things."

He gave her an Eskimo kiss, tickling her nose with his.

"We've been together three months and you're already bored with me, huh?"

"Never," she smiled at him in the darkness, "I doubt I ever will be. You keep things too lively."

"Really?"

"Oh yes, sometimes I think I'm struggling just to keep up."

Jack laughed heartily.

"Sweetheart, you have nothing to worry about," he assured her, kissing the end of her nose.
