Imagine this; You're a young kid of say around...4 to 6. You've just finished a hard day at school and you head onto the school bus and make your way home. After you finally get dropped off at your house and get a welcome kiss from your mom, you rush upstairs to your room, check the clock and see that it's about 2:59 p.m. With 60 seconds to spare, you grab the remote, then a chair, place yourself in the chair, press the power button, and when the clock strikes 3:00, you hear this..."We're tiny, we're tooney, we're all a little looney, and in this cartooney, we're invading your TV..." Yep, while the other kids are outside, playing their game of jacks, or basketball, you're sitting comfortably at home in front of your TV with a bag of Cheetos watching an episode of your favorite show. Even on the weekend, you find yourself with your eyes glued to the tube from the hours of 8:00am, to whenever your parents finally say, "turn that off and go to bed!" Of course to be honest, you'd probably just sneak it back on after they go to sleep.
If you were a kid growing up in the 90's, this and more was just a daily ritual. Even going to the bathroom seemed like a difficult task, especially if a new episode was on, because you did not wanna miss one second of what was going on. From Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, every kid looked forward to what was on from the morning, all the way to prime time.
From teenagers with attitude, to treasure hunting billionaire ducks, masked vigilantes, to super fast, chili dog-loving blue hedgehogs, the 90's provided the young viewers who lived through it with entertaining shows and classic moments that will not soon be forgotten.
In this fanficumentary, we will take a brick-by-brick, piece-by-piece look at what is considered the ultimate of ultimate decades in television. We will explore a time when more creative freedom was given by the writers and producers and how they dared to set the bar for other shows to follow.
So fresh out the box, stop, look, and watch. Ready yet? Get set. Because it's the 90's of kids TV!
Awwww here it goes!
