"Hey guys. Check it out." Jason spoke in from the main hall in shuffling sheet music in his hands with a few photos. Cass, Tim, and Helena were standing by the piano discussing next week's performance as they turned their attention to the sheet of paper. "Whataya got there, Lil Bro." Jason looked over the sheets of paper again before handing it over to his older sister. "Selina's unpublished song... It's dated... June 7th." Tim, Cass, and Jason looked up at Helena who stared blankly at the photos he had in his hands. "Hel?" Tim calmly shuttered to her from the piano. Cass took the papers, setting them on the piano. "Helena.. what do you... I mean." "What else can we do. Hah..." Helena blinked a few times over, snapping her out of her trance. "What... What is it called?" Tim rested his cheek on the palm his hand. "Thank You.. It's. It's really beautiful actually. I um.." Helena finally gazed over at the notes, picking them up. Jason sat down by Tim on the piano handing him the photos. "She wrote these in the.. the hospital. A week before she passed away." The memories of Selina flooded in from the back of Helena's mind. All the feelings, The fact she wasn't allowed to see her mother at her final hour. Helena handed the notes to her little brother. "Play it, please." Tim arranged sheets and began to play.
"I got out of bed at all
The morning rain clouds up my window
And I can't see at all
And even if I could it'd all be grey,
But your picture on my wall it reminds me
That it's not so bad, it's not so bad."
"And I want to thank you for giving me
The best day of my life
Ohh, just to be with you is having
The best day of my life."
As the song ended the last rings of the piano released. Helena let out a deep sigh patting the top of her head gently. She closed her eyes letting a small smile creep out from her lips. "Is there anyway we can add this to the concert. As a tribute to my mom and daddy?" Cass smiled up at Helena as she turned to give her a hug. "Oh! This is going to be so...! Amazing." Tim bundled up the music, standing up."We have work to do."
As everyone headed towards the recording studio, Alfred came down to check on the kids.
"Master Jason. What are you doing here alone?"
Jason looked up at him with red sogged eyes. "Hey Alf. Did uh. Did you know Selina well?"
Alfred walked over to Jason sitting on the piano bench. Jay handed him the photos of Selina that came with the notes. Alfred took them caressingly. "Ah. The photos of Master Richard and Miss Helena's birth..."He moved one more photo aside to see the one that he had taken of Selina and Bruce. "And the last day she was at the hospital..." Alfred blinked away the tears that followed with his words. "She. She was a fine lady. Very kind. Intelligent. You would have loved her, Master Jason. Without a doubt." As alfred turned to head out the door Jason tapped him on the shoulder. "Alfred. Can you keep a secret from the old man?"
