Warning: Just so you know, I really don't like Hinamori. I think she's annoying. If you like her a lot or you're sensitive to negative opinions about a character don't bother reading this. Though I'm just joking about it being Hinamori-bashing. Ok, maybe there's a little INDIRECT, SUBTLE bashing. Whatever. Read and see.

You Should Have Just Died
(A Hinamori-bashing fic)
(For Personal Enjoyment Only)

Matsumoto came in.
"Hinamori's dead."
Hitsugaya looked at her. Then he fell on his knees dramatically. "NOOOOOOOOO!!!" he sobbed.
Ok, so he didn't actually do that. But that's what Matsumoto translated his -_- (stony, unblinking) expression to mean.
"Sorry... they couldn't save her."
Hitsugaya sighed.
"What were her last words?" he asked quietly.
Matsumoto bowed her head. "It's better if I don't tell you, captain."
"What were they?" This time he added a glare for effect.
Matsumoto bit her lip. "Aizen-san, why did you...?" she trailed off in a whisper.
At once Hitsugaya stood up. "I... told... you... not to mention that name." Veins popped.
"Oh no no," answered Matsumoto hastily. "That's what Hinamori said. Murmurred softly in her sleep before the tears dried on her face and she closed her eyes in peaceful slumber forever."
Hitsugaya stared.
"It's so tragically romantic, isn't it, captain?" wailed Matsumoto as she rushed at him with one of her boob-crushing hugs.
"NO." Hitsugaya sidestepped her and took a couple deep breaths. "Are they burying her next to... next to..." He couldn't get it out.
"Aiz---? I mean, you-know-who?"
Hitsugaya gritted his teeth. "Yes, him."
Matsumoto inspected her fingernails. "Um... maybe?"
Without another word, her captain strode out and slammed the door shut behind him.
Matsumoto shook her head. "Poor honey," she sniffled.
A second later, the door opened again. Hitsugaya walked back inside and stood in front of Matsumoto, who was busily examining her hair for split ends. "Ew, I need a haircut real soon."
"Matsumoto. What... is... this?" Hitsugaya hissed.
Matsumoto looked up and smiled. "Hello there, Hinamori!"
Indeed, a "ghost" stood behind Hitsugaya, looking confused but otherwise healthy.
"Hi, Matsumoto-san." Hinamori glanced timidly at her Shiro-chan, who was glowering at a spot on the wall. "Listen... do you want to have lunch?"
"Oh, of course! Captain, you coming to celebrate Hinamori's release from the hospital with us?"
Toushiro shifted slightly. "Hnn," he grunted grudgingly.
"Afterwards..." spoke Hinamori suddenly, face blushing. "Can we..."
"Yes?" asked Mastumoto eagerly, nudging Toushiro's arm.
"Can we go visit Aizen-san's grave? He doesn't have any flowers... I feel bad for him."
Mastumoto's jaw dropped.
Hitsugaya turned around slowly.
Blood pressure's rising high.
"YOU SHOULD HAVE JUST DIED, BITCH!"
No, he didn't actually say that. But that's what Matsumoto translated his :-( face (eyebrows furrowed, nostrils flaring) to mean.
Hitsugaya just walked out. He didn't even care to slam the door.
"Why is Shiro-chan acting so strange?" wondered Hinamori innocently.
Matsumoto bent down, looked into Hinamori's eyes, and grinned.
"Oh, he has a date with a cute chick from the Human World today..."
