((One of the Drabble requests. The only one long enough to bother with XD; For Corruptedlovers on Tumblr. some Dark LinkxZelda))
Zelda stepped lightly as she entered the dungeon, Impa close by her side. They had all to recently admitted a prisoner and she, being the wise princess she was, had decided to make sure he was… let's say acclimatizing, to the new environment. As she approached the cell, a small movement caught her attention.
"What do you want now?" A weakened voice hissed out at her causing the princess to sign.
"Dark Link." she replied with a small curtsy. "Pleasure to see you again, as always." The darker hero growled at her and had he not been in an already weakened state, would have tried to attack.
Instead he merely replied. "And to what do I owe this pleasure, princess?" he spat the title. "Come to talk of sides, again?"
"Ganondorf has been defeated, Dark, you know this." Zelda said feeling stress from earlier encounters with the man starting to effect her. "Why will you not join the side of light? Forgo this life of evil."
"Dear, Princess." Dark replied sitting up from his bunk and coming to the bars, revealing how damaged he was from previous battles and mixes with her light magic. The sight made the princess flinch. "Just because I am the dark side of the Hero, you assume I am evil."
"Are you claiming now that you are not?"
"I never claimed that I was. I am not, nor have I ever been in league with Ganondorf. My job was simply to protect the water temple, and challenge the Hero. You think of me as a dark beast, but I was created by the goddesses themselves. Yet you lock me up?"
"It was not my decision…" Zelda said quietly. "It was a unanimous vote from all six of the other sages. had it been up to me-"
"Do you not lead the sages, Princess." Dark asked crossing his arms. "Are you not the one who is given the power of the final say in any matter?"
"Well… yes, but-"
"Then let me go."
Impa instantly moved to attack Dark through the bars but Zelda held a hand up to stop her. "No. He is right." she looked back to Impa. "I know you and the other sages believe he should not be free… but I have seen him in action. I have fought side by side with him, and against him."
The Sheikah reluctantly lowered her arms and nodded to Zelda, knowingly as she took a step back. "I will trust your judgement, Princess."
"Thank you." Zelda smiled slightly at the shadow sage before turning back to Dark. "Please stand back."
Without hesitating Dark did as he was told. Zelda raised her hands and the bars of the cell began to glow brightly for a few moments before the light faded away. "I have removed the spell." She stated simply.
Dark smirked and, not missing a step, slipped through the bars like water and grabbed Zelda's shoulder's. "Thank you, princess." he spoke simply before he pulled her in for a quick kiss, vanishing instantly afterwords.
Zelda stood by the cell, a slight blush on her face and raised a had to her lips. "Good-bye, Dark…"
