Fallen star

Fallen Star

It's dark outside - the starlight makes me wonder

About the man I loved somehow someday

I stay awake and walk around and ponder

Again to dream of love I gave away.

My knight, you never knew what I am feeling

You never knew what we were used to be

Instead you kept on reaching for the ceiling

Until you touched it – as my enemy.

You know, I'm like a broken angel falling

I wished that you could teach me how to fly

And in my dreams at night I keep on calling

For you to catch my fall before I die.

A question is the only thing you're leaving:

What evil god controls my destiny?

And what must I have done for just receiving

Such cruel fate of bitter irony?

And when I see the stars I still remember

The love that turned to be my darkest hate

And in your eyes of deepest liquid amber

I drown once more – until it is too late.
