The darkness of the night, seeped through the twolegplace, as a single pale golden tabby she cat moved silently across, dodging as fast as she could, passing monsters on the thunderpath. She carried in her jaws, a single small bundle of tan tabby kit, recently born in fact.

The she-cat slipped through, and pressed deep into a seemingly too tiny of a alley to an large piece of space that were covered in old twoleg bins turned into what seems like dens for a small group of cats. Those cats seemed to notice the she-cat, and they raised themselves to their paws. A large red tom with a darker stripe across the back approached. "What brings you back, Sand?" the tom asked amber eyes narrowed suspiciously as they looked over the kit.

The she-cat settled down the kit. "You know that's not my real name anymore, Red." She purred, trying to brighten the rough cat's heart.

But Red just raised his head. "You turned your back on our group, this is not where you are supposed to be, get out!" he growled, unsheathing his claws on the she-cat.

The she-cat stepped back. "Come now Red, I know that what I did broke your heart. But please, hear me out." She pleaded to Red.

Red tilted his head, and slowly sheathed his claws. "What is it then?" he growled, still not at ease.

The she-cat stared at the kit, her kit. "He is my only son, but he needs the forest. Please, I need you to take him to his Father." The she-cat asked Red.

Red stepped back. "Why, why does he need to go there? he would suit better with your other kits, and doesn't he need milk?" red growled.

The she-cat shuffled her paws. "The other kits will not be with me when they don't need me, and I hear my mate adopted another she-cat's kits so that they can hide their secrets together. Please take him there!" she continued to plead.

Red lifted his head back up, and gaze his amber eyes into her blue ones, and heaved a sigh. "Fine, I'll take him there, but why can't you take him there?" he asked.

"They moved us, we are the farthest ones away from the forest, yet you are close." The she-cat responded.

Red leaned down his head, and picked up the kit. "In that case, you'd better get going back towards them then, goodbye." He told her.

The pale golden tabby she-cat dipped her head in thanks and left, as soon as she was out of sight from the small crack. Red did not follow suit, and headed back to the small clearing. As he pushed into one of the empty bin dens, and a tan tabby she-cat lay there in, feeding two other kits. As she looked up, her green eyes softened and she purred. "What you got there?

"A kit, abandoned alone near here." Red responded through kit fur. setting down the little thing.

The she-cat gazed down at the kit. "And its mother?"

"Dead or long gone, found a pool of blood not far from where I found this kit." Red continued to lie.

The she-cat pulled in the small bundle, which squeaked, before latching onto her belly to start suckling milk. "He'll be fine here, even happy. At least it wouldn't seem weird as he does look like me." She purred.

Red dipped his head, and headed out of the den.

A/N: This will be the only story that I protect the Clan allegiances from the public to allow a bit of mystery for the father.

Also, what do you think of this, I got one good review from the previous version of the story but I wanted a little more of a character development for Red.

I may accept OC's though; just use your own form please.
