I just got done with the day's work at the Ministry of Magic and was prepared to head home. I knew I would find Remus there with dinner ready and everything. As I stepped into the street, I saw something that made me look twice. A very tall young man was headed in my direction. When he looked at me, I saw a far-away look in his eyes. "Can I help you young man?" I asked. "I see every reason I've ever lived" he replied dreamily. "What's your name young man?" I asked politely. "Jacob Black" he said in that same dreammy matter. "Are you related to Sirius Black?" I asked. "We may be distant cousins" Jacob replied. "Well, I'm his cousin, so I thought maybe I would recognize you or something" I remarked. "What's your problem?" I asked bossily as he just stood there. "I've imprinted" he replied softly. "What?" I asked incredulously. "Ive imprinted, it's what we werewolves do" he said still more softly. "No they don't" I blurted. "Not real ones anyway" I retorted hautily and stomped off. "What a creep" Hermione said when I explained to her what happened. "That's odd" Ginny Weasley also commented. "I had a young man today sniffing me like I smelled extremely well" Ginny continued to say. "He got all worried about being in the sunlight" she continued on when nobody made a comment. "Odd indeed" Hermione commented. "His name is Edward" Ginny said happily. "He's hot, and has a pretty girlfriend. They are both a sort of deathly white, and the female seemed to get a bit jealous when he sniffed the air around me" Ginny said concernedly. "I still love Harry though" she added hastily. A couple days later, we ran into the creeps again, only this time with help. "Hey Jacob" Remus said conversationally. "Hey Remus" Jacob responded. "Have you imprinted yet?" Jacob asked Remus. "What?" Remus shouted in disbelief. "Real werewolves don't imprint. Only the shape shifting decendants imprint" Remus said smartly. "Real werewolves also transform at the full moon" Remus added. "Hi, uh, uh, whatever your name is" Jacob said as I approached. "Tonks" I snapped. "If I wasn't mistaken, I would say you are hitting on her" Remus said hotly. "I've imprinted on her" Jacob cried helplessly. "Well, that's too bad" Remus snarled, and without warning, Jacob lunged at him. "Get your hands off me!" Remus bellowed. "Yeah" I agreed. Meanwhile, Harry and Ginny seemed to be trying to stop Edward. "Isn't she your girlfriend?" Ginny asked pointing to the girl. "Yeah, I'm Bella, and we are dating" she said simply, but looked ready to kill Ginny. "You won't hit on my girlfriend" Harry said matter-of-factly. "Why not?" Edward asked challengingly. "She's mine, and you have one" Harry snarled. I was transfixed by the two scenes surrounding me. The werewolves seemed to be fighting to the death. "I'm, sorry, Lupin" Jacob gasped as he was thrown to the ground. "I'm sorry too" Remus said, and Jacob smiled a little. "Imprinting is rubbish, and you'll find true love some day" Remus said sympathetically. "I'm sorry Harry" Edward said softly. "I'll go back to hunting animals" he said humorously. "That's right" Bella agreed. "Just promisse you won't hit on my girlfriend again" Harry said concernedly. "Harry" Ginny hissed. "Okay" Edward said resignedly. After that, the vampires found Jacob, and they all left. "What a day" Ginny said tiredly. "What happened?" Ron Weasley said suddenly approaching. "We scared off a couple of creeps" Harry said happily. "Well good. I hope none of them went after Hermione. I was busy attending Auntie Muriel's funeral today" Ron said sadly. "No, luckily" Hermione said and flung herself into Ron's waiting arms. I did the same to Remus, and watched Ginny embrace Harry warmly. All in all, it was a bit creepy today, but the creeps disappeared back into the twilight.
