When It's Right
His kisses were demanding, hard and fast. She tried to keep up.
She liked to think of herself as mature, but she knew she was just a girl, still young and naïve, and he was a man. His experience overshadowed hers, and she trembled at the thought.
She would have liked to think it was a good tremble, one of excitement and anticipation, but it wasn't. Because this, what they were doing was wrong.
His grip on her hip tightened along with the heat of the moment, he had to feel the wrongness of it too, right?
His tongue plundered her mouth and she pulled away, gasping for air. He began a trail of kisses down her neck. Any other time, any other person she may have moaned from the sensations, instead she shook her head.
No. This was wrong.

He reached for her hand and brushed a kiss along her knuckles.
She didn't know if she had it right this time, she was in a foreign country, all alone and he had been kind. He kissed his way up her arm and she shivered from deep in her core.
She would have liked to think it was a good shiver, one of excitement and anticipation, but it wasn't. Because now, being there with him, felt wrong.
She held her breath and felt light headed, it wasn't the good kind, she was sure it was because of the wine. She tried to think of when she had started to drink so much, she listed all the times she had had alcohol in her mind, naming the place and forming a tally; anything to keep her mind away from the ministrations of the man next to her.
He kissed her jaw, her cheek and the corner of her mouth. He held her chin in between his thumb and forefinger and turned her to face him. He moved in to kiss her lips… and she pulled away.
No. This was wrong.

She didn't know how it happened. She was turned and pulled into an embrace.
His hand was cupping her face, his fingers were buried in her hair and his lips… his lips were on hers.
He was slow and cautious, he coaxed her to follow as he lead the way. His fingers flexed, gently holding her to him, as though he thought she was going to pull away. His lips moved over hers and the world fell away, nothing existed for her except them and she was sure they were half way between heaven and earth.
His tongue touched the seam of her lips, not demanding, silently asking for entrance and she let him in.
He explored her with quiet interest and she trembled, from the top of her head and the base of her soles, meeting somewhere in the middle and settling low in her stomach.
She was different now, he was different now, and here they were both together.
He pulled away and she gasped for air that she needed, but didn't want. She would have gladly taken his lips back once again.
His eyes were glazed and his look was stunned. It must have been a reflection of herself.
When it was right, she didn't need to know. She only needed to feel.
This was right.
