This year, they celebrated New Years' at New York under Alfred's request.

Amelia still preferred watching the ball drop on her old t.v. inside of her small cabin in the rural South.

She loved it when it was just them, and some wine as they watched the ball drop on her crappy t.v. set; she enjoyed the quiet evening of wine drinking and kissing that always ensued, but this was a New York year for the part of America that no one knew existed.

Alfred refused to let the rest of the world see her or know about her after all.

Amelia counted down with all of New York as she prepared for the inviteable.

As the ball touched down and confetti filled the air, Alfred kissed her.

Burning passion erupted as she kissed back to another year of being a couple.

She loved just being with him on these occasions and their traditions; whether they celebrated New Years' where she lived or New York City was depending on which of the alternating years it was.

Amelia clung to her loveable boyfriend, and they held on to this moment.

Later they would drink wine at Alfred's apartment, and curl up on the couch with one of their favorite movies; exhaustion from the long night would put them to sleep in the other's arms.

These traditions while simple filled Amelia and even Alfred with cheer; they had each other whether the world realized or not.
