Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter. I have just borrowed the characters and will return them unharmed when I have finished playing.

A/N: I've had this one in the works for quite some time now, so, I thought I'd finish it off and post it for all you lovely guys and girls out there!
Enjoy!!

Minerva looked up from her marking as she heard the door to her office softly open. With Voldemort gone and Hogwarts rebuilt, Minerva was back to teaching. Albus had come out of hiding and was now firmly sat in the Headmaster's seat. The golden trio had gone their own way. Ron went to work with his father at the ministry. Harry worked from home, doing research for Dumbledore and starting a family with Ginny. And Hermione had started a transfiguration apprenticeship with her favourite professor. And there she stood, her bushy hair pulled back into a ponytail, her chocolate orbs gazing at the beautiful green eyed witch from the office doorway.

"Hermione." Minerva's voice was quiet but the smile that had graced her face showed how happy she truly was that her girl had come back to her.

"Evening, Minerva." Hermione closed the door quietly behind herself and went and perched herself on the edge of Minerva's desk, looking lovingly at the gorgeous witch in front of her. "Ready for bed, my dear?"

"Yes. My head's killing me." Minerva lent back in her chair and closed her eyes. Hermione walked behind Minerva and started to slowly take out all twenty-one of Minerva's hairpins, gently massaging her scalp as she did so.

"How was your day, Min?"

"Paperwork really is not my cup of tea."

"I know, my dear. But, you did bring it on yourself." Hermione giggled at Minerva's shocked face.

"You're just as much to blame for putting that stink bomb in Albus' office than I!"

"Yes. But he gave me the two hour detention with six Slytherins."

Minerva smiled. If there was one thing that Hermione hated more that Quiddtch, was supervising detentions.

"I guess I won't ask how your day went then."

Hermione groaned and closed her eyes. "I think a shower and a quite night in with a very special woman is in order."

"And who is this special lady then, Miss Granger?"

"You, Professor." Hermione halted her hands and sat herself in Minerva's lap, pressing a quick peck to her lips, causing her to lay down her quill and pull Hermione closer, but she broke the kiss all too soon and Minerva groaned at the lose of pressure on her lips.

"Well, I'm honoured." Minerva pecked Hermione's cheek.

"Have you finished your punishment, tabby?"

"I believe it will surface."

Hermione smiled and Minerva picked her up and took her through to the back door into their chambers and into their bedroom.

"What have you in mind, love?" Hermione was laid on her back looking up at Minerva. But her love was not smiling.

Minerva sat back on her knees and took a few deep breaths, her hand on her chest. Ever since that witch, Dolores Umbridge and her ministry buddies shot four stunners at her chest, she had problems with her breathing and pain at times.

"Min?"

"I'm fine." Minerva slid to the edge of the bed and took a few more deep breaths. Hermione joined her love and held her. Minerva relaxed slightly and rested her head on her darling's shoulder.

"You just rest tabby. I'm not going anywhere, I promise." Hermione started to run her fingers through Minerva's beautiful raven locks when she noticed she had closed her eyes. Within minutes Minerva had slipped into sleep. Hermione laid her down and held her in her arms. She pressed a light kiss to Minerva's forehead, whispered 'I love you' and allowed sleep to overtake her.
