"I'm sorry," A soft voice whispered.
In the midst of a very hurricane-like day, a stallion had decided to go apologize to an old friend.
Sitting on top of a straw hill, he stared at the place he had come to, this was why he was here. No judgement. No one was here.
"I'm sorry, I was horrible that night, and you left. And I shouldn't have. And now…." He froze mid-sentence.
Tears gently fell from his face, and blended with the drops of rain falling from the sky. If anyone was watching, he didn't care.
He laid down next to the dirt patch, dead.
That was what he had meant to say, that word.
It was on the tip of his tongue. He could have.
But he didn't. It was comforting not to. To still hold on to that fake shred of hope, the feeling that that he wasn't alone. But in actuality, he was.
No one stayed, always came and went. But… he always stayed.
Every birthday, Trip to the doctor, Holiday, Sickness, Fear,
Job, Hunger, street.
He stopped his train of thought. Yes, they had survived on the streets together, for quite awhile. If they could survive then, why did he have to be brought down by little sickness?
Pure accident, versus rage. Rage in which came, after the night they left ponyville. For the second time.
They had blown it. First time, they slowly felt their job slipping from between their hooves. And then they decided to try again.
Tears steadily flew down his face now. Eyes wide, trying to forget past events, in vain. Gritting his teeth.
"YOU'LL NEVER FORGIVE ME!" He screamed to the other ceased stallion.
Whimpering, cold, he laid down once more near the Grave.
He might, from the sky somewhere, or wherever he was currently.
He might look down, in pity, and grant one last visit, or something of the sort.
But he didn't. He wouldn't, it would take a miracle.
Miracle. What he needed now.
Friend. More then a friend. Or a best friend. He loved him.
Not in the way that you would have thought if we had left it at that. Brothers.
Twin brothers.
He looked at the headstone,

Flim screamed once more. Not because he was mad. But because he knew,
It was all his fault.
