"Syaoran, I am tired."
He was still typing on his laptop, he did not even bother looking up at her.
"I know about you and Tomoyo."
It stopped him from what he was doing. He finally looked up to see her face. It was not sad nor happy, it was not angry. She was tired.
"I can't say it's okay. I am not okay with it."
She was calm. Too calm for his liking, why wasn't she breaking down? Anything would be fine, just not this look that she has given up on him. He stood up from his chair. She took a step back.
"You know, it was always me giving and you taking. Syao, I'm sorry."
She sighed, she looked at him and smiled a sad smile.
"Sakura, I -"
"No, I am happy for you. If she makes you happier than I do, then go. I don't want to hold you back."
He did not notice the two bags that were lying by the door. His heart beat faster, she was leaving him. He was supposed to be happy, she's letting him go.
She took a few steps towards the door.
"Sakura, please don't go."
She stopped.
"Stay with me, please." His voice was soft. He was pleading her to stay. He wanted her to stay
"My relationship with Tomoyo is nothing, baby."
That made her turn around. Her face was serious.
"I am not stupid, Syaoran. I don't want to choose between my two best friends -" She gasped, she was clutching her chest.
"Sakura?" He rushed to her side. In a swift movement he was holding her.
"I'm fine, I'm just tired."
Both physically and emotionally, she thought.
"Sit down, Sakura. You need to rest."
"No, I'm going to be late for my flight."
It shocked him how determined she is in leaving him. She was determined to leave him.
She is leaving him.
It repeated in his mind over and over.
He can't stand the thought of her leaving. He hugged her tightly. He didn't mind breaking down in front of her. He didn't want her to leave.
"I don't want you to go."
He was sure she was uncomfortable, it's been a while since he hugged her. It's been a while since he showed her how much he loved her. He didn't know what came to his mind and started whatever relationship he has with Tomoyo.
She tried to free herself from his grasp but he didn't let her go.
"I know I could be this way. But I do know that I could walk away from Tomoyo."
She didn't reply again. What happened to the Sakura he met years ago? The Sakura back then was always talking, he was the silent one. But this time the tables have been turned.
"I love you, Sakura. Only you."
She stiffened. She looked up at him. She was void of emotion now.
"Liar."
She pushed him with force this time. He staggered back a little.
" But I love you too, Syaoran."
That made his heart stop. Does this mean she's not leaving anymore?
"I knew you'd stay." He took a step forward towards her. She took a step back. She was not looking at him. He wanted her to look at him. He wanted her to stay with him.
"I am not staying."
Those words stung his heart. He was rooted to his place. She was walking towards the door.
"Come find me when you really love me again."
