AN: I wrote this ages ago so it's probably not my best work ever but I figured that I might as well put it up! So enjoy (hopefully) and let me know what you think!

The summer sun was shining on the two boys on the patio.

One had fairly long black hair and grey eyes that changed depending on his mood.

The other had mid length honey-brown hair and golden-brown eyes that were the exact opposite- while at the same time perfectly matched- to the boy sitting opposite him.

They were sitting very close to each other, their knees touching and feet intermingling, as they laughed at some joke one had made.

As they laughed they bent forward so their longer hairs actually touched and danced with the movement of their bodies.

The otherwise perfect scene was marred by the rather insistent shout of one James Potter as he tried to gain their attention.

"Oi! You two! Hey! Are you bloody listening? COME IN YOU BLOODY POOFTERS!" he finally yelled in desperation.

However his otherwise successful shout- Remus and Sirius had stood up and were on their way in to the house- was heard by his mother.

"James!" Mrs Potter admonished, "Don't swear! Anyway," and this was said to the two boys who had made their way into the house, "I think it's very sweet."

Remus and Sirius exchanged confused glances while James, standing behind his mother laughed at her assumption.

Finally Remus spoke up, "What... Umm, what exactly do you mean?"

"Well, the fact that you're together! It really is very sweet, how you flirt and tease each other. Ahh, me and my husband were the same at your age you know..."

As she said this she drifted away humming, leaving behind two embarrassed and slightly horrified boys and one practically-collapsed-on-the floor-in-hysterics boy.

James, finally calming down enough to stop laughing was still giggling occasionally as he said jokingly, "I knew it! How could you keep this from me," he said in mock horror, "Me! Prongs, your best friend and you kept this from me?"

Remus, blushing slightly, sighed and said, "James there is nothing going on OK? Me and Sirius are... Me and Sirius are just friends."

James nodded, but looked slightly confused at Remus's hesitation, "Sure, sure, fine..."

Sirius and Remus both sagged in relief a moment before James piped up again.

"When are you having the wedding then?"

Remus and Sirius groaned. They knew they would never hear the end of this...

Later that night...

"Remus?"

"Yeah?"

"I've been thinking."

"Did you hurt yourself?"

"Haha, no. But... um... in the last few months we've... well, I've been sort of thinking... About you and us as friends and I don't know if you know but I've, we've, been sort of flirting a bit like Mrs Potter said and I don't know if you feel the same way but I think you do so I'm going to say it. I love you Remus."

Remus said nothing for several seconds as he processed the little speech. Then, finally getting his thoughts together, he just blurted out, "I love you. Come here."

Sirius leapt out of his bed and into Remus's bed and the two young men hugged, inhaling each others scent joyously.

Their heads turned, tentatively at first then faster, and their lips met in a soft kiss.

The pure emotion in the simplest of actions, the gentlest of touches, made them fall back against the bed, limbs entwined.

"G'night Sirius."

"G'night Remus. I love you."

"Love you too..."

In the morning James woke up first. He stretched and yawned before turning around and seeing the two boys on the bed.

"Bloody hell!"
