Booth thinks I'm clueless. He thinks I'm blind, that I can't see that those two are mirror images of him and me. Daisy and Sweets will work, for the same reasons Booth and I would work if we were given a chance. No common ground? Please. If it didn't exist before, we've made our own.
He's agreeing with me. I can't decide if it's a pathetic attempt to curry favor or if he's still trying to pull the cloth over my eyes. No, he's just trying to maintain the line, even though I'm fairly sure he doesn't want to. Culturally oblivious is one thing, but he's my partner. Him, I know. I've been with him longer than any other man in my entire life, and yet we've barely kissed.
She repressed the smile that threatened to form at the thought of their Christmas kiss. I stopped counting steamboats before we even hit five! She slid a glance over at Booth; he was watching Sweets and Daisy leave the lab. What would he do if I said his name and then leaned in and kissed him when he turned to look at me? Would he freak? Run? Or would he respond? She knew he could curl her toes if they both let go. She licked her lips thoughtfully.
