A/N: This is just one of the few scenarios buzzing in my head after the bedroom scene last week. I have another one to put out taking a different view. The one thing I didn't write was Booth and Bones having sex. I think in their minds it would have been tacky and disrespectful to Vincent. So enjoy.
You and Booth did what?
Angela peeked around the corner to make sure that Hodgins really was gone. She turned back to her best friend, "Well, Sweetie-what happened?"
Brennan took a deep breath. "It was just before 5 this morning and I couldn't sleep. I barged into Booth's room."
"About time."
"It wasn't for that. I...I...I couldn't process Mr. Nigel-Murray's final moments. Booth helped me deal with it."
The dark haired artist nodded, "That's so Booth. He has a huge heart."
"I logically knew I wasn't alone, however, I felt that way until Booth wrapped his arms around me and held me." Brennan set the skull down on the table and turned to Angela.
"Sweetie, I think that's wonderful, even if that's all that happened. You seem happier, more settled."
"I have to tell you something else." Brennan did her own looking around to indicate how sensitive this was. "We couldn't sleep. We got up and dressed then we ended up ..."
Angela laid a hand on her baby mound as Brennan paused, "Brennan, you're driving me crazy and that's not good for me or the baby."
"I can stop telling you about this rather than risk early labor."
"Do that and I'll resort to violence."
"Fine, we did what Hodgins and you did."
"You and Booth did page 187 from the book?"
"Page 187? Oh, no not that though I am anxious to try that."
"Brennan!"
"We crossed the state line, found a judge and got married."
"Married. Oh. My. God."
"God wasn't involved at all in the ceremony and that's surprising since Booth is a believer. I didn't think he'd consent to get married without some reference to religion."
"Forget that, it's amazing to me you would consider marriage. Booth, yes-you, not so much."
"You're correct about Booth and me." Brennan shook her head, "However, it seemed like the perfect thing to do."
"How do you feel?"
"Like I'm not alone any more, I'm worth being around and important to someone."
"Oh, Sweetie-you've always been important to people. The alone was sort of your choice."
The new bride shrugged, "I just hope I can give Booth some of what he wants and needs."
"Believe it, Brennan." Angela rubbed a hand over her stomach soothing the baby inside, "But for now, we need to get back to work. Booth needs your brain and expertise, Hodgins will need me to salve his battered ego."
"Of course." Brennan darted a glance around the room. "Angela, we haven't told anyone yet including Parker."
Her friend overcame the awkward bulk of her figure to hug Brennan. "Not to worry, my lips are sealed. But my heart is filled with happiness. I can't wait to see the two of you together."
"We won't look any different."
"I'm the judge of that and trust me, you already look different. Now back to work, newlywed."
Temperance Brennan just smiled in wonder.
