Innocence Lost

Innocence lost,

at the hands of war,

the sound of laughter,

is deaf to my ear,

the only sound,

is the cry's of lost kin,

and reminders,

of the war I've lived,

My heart,

is now made of ice,

for now I,

have the guilt,

of distorting the souls,

of warriors,

and the innocence,

I have lost,

in this war,

of mine.
