Army Bunker 3023104, 06:00, July 24, 2020
"Artemis, are you sure you are up to this? I understand that you are rested, but this is the battlefield! You could get shot, or kidnapped, or-" The soldier stopped. He fell down, dead. No pulse was found, so Artemis rose up, and ran. "Domovoi, I need you to do me a favor again," Artemis spoke into his wrist communicator. "It is important, there is an assassin in the bunker. I know you are outside the area, but I need you. Now." Artemis turned the communicator off and drew his .44 out. "Free-" Butler had begun to state, but then he fell. As he fell, Artemis watched. He knew what happened. This had happened to Holly Short, approximately 2 years before. He rushed to his side, facing the risks of being shot. He pulled Domovoi Butler, his long term friend and bodyguard, down into a bunker. He preformed surgery, and removed the bullet. He examined it, and it was not a bullet, but it was in fact, a dart tip. As Butler was waking, he noticed what had happened, and then, his heart gave in. It was a moment that was felt in only dreams for Artemis, but now, his worst nightmare had come true. There was an assassin after him, and he had nowhere to run, and no one to turn to. His family, house, and riches were all burnt down in a dramatic bombing. As his German tutor, Ariagmo Daikonvoi, had said, "A fire that can burn a house down can, and will spread to a man's heart, and eventually kill him, unless he extinguishes the fire with passion and joy." Artemis had never understood this until today, but now he had known.
