Of all the strange and unusual things he had ever seen, this perky woman was stranger. Harmless, not dangerous, fun to be around and in a way he couldn't pinpoint just yet... kind of cute. Cute in her own crazy way. Normally David Rossi had a thing for brunettes. All of his ex wives had beautiful black or brown hair. On the flip side, everyone knew that blonds thought they could have more fun. Despite Hotch's reaction to his earlier statements concerning JJ, Rossi was more of a Garcia man than a JJ man. It didn't matter that almost everyone thought him to be arrogant. How could he react to only Penelope in that way? It would look suspicious. So David Rossi treated every case and every situation close to or the exact same way he treated her. What he knew and what he felt, no one had to know.

Four years after he went back to the bureau, Dave continued to hide his feelings. What would a young woman want with an old man like him? He was her complete opposite wasn't he? Earlier that day Pen had smiled brightly as she invited him to her wedding. The solid ring on her left hand fit her personality to the tee. Platinum with a rare diamond. The pink rock sat on her finger very gracefully. Emily and JJ had cooed over it a few weeks earlier. Forcing a smile to cross his features before he commented, Rossi hid behind years of experience. Of all the things he had done in his lifetime, how hard could it be to forget? Burying the feelings he never wanted to have wasn't going to be that hard. Gorgeous blond woman were everywhere. Surely a new one wouldn't have a problem finding her way into his world. Grabbing the gift off of the table against the wall to the right of the doorway, Rossi stared at his reflection for a few moments.
"This is doable. I can do this."
Penelope Garcia would be happy with Kevin Lynch, he was sure of that.
