Yet another beautiful day of Fall. And what will it bring? Thor and Loki exchanged awkward glances in the hallway and went, each to their own direction. Loki took a step further and stopped. Are they going to be avoiding each other from now on? They were still brothers. Loki shook his head and went in Thor's direction.
"Brother, wait!"he shouted.
Thor shuddered and stopped as if he was struck by lightning.
"What is it, Loki?"he inquired.
"Why don't we..."
"Why don't we...what?"
Loki did not have an answer for that. He wasn't sure what to say. Only that he wanted to spend some time together but their relationship was nowhere far from complicated. Betrayal, backstabbing, lies - those were all Loki's specialties. Who would believe he changed for good?
"Talk..."Loki said, not sure of it himself.
"Oh yes, tea and chitchat is what I strive for."Thor sneered.
Loki was not amused and that could be seen from the little pout on his face. He felt a little embarrassed.
"Brother, stop it. You know full and well I am nervous."Loki blurted out.
"What's it to me?"Thor responded, averting his gaze. He didn't want to give into feelings.
Instead of an answer Loki just pulled him close and held in his arms. Thor could feel himself melt into a gooey puddle of mush. Or something like that.
"Talk...we can do that."Thor finally said, blushing.
Loki grinned and held him tight despite the guards passing by. What's it to them? The worst thing that could happen were some guards telling their father about their little shenanigans. He was already used to such things. Not...hugs and kisses but sometimes they would start a fight in the middle of lunch, dinner, training, lessons - earlier on when they were teens and the list could go on forever.
Thor decided it would be the best they talked somewhere private but Loki insisted they'd be outdoors - such a lovely weather.
"Fine. But for whatever bad consequenses I'll be blaming you."Thor finally agreed and his lips tugged up into a smirk.
"Do not worry for I am already used to it."Loki didn't take long to think of a reply.
They went to a garden and each of them rested on a separate hammock.
"Still think this is a good idea?"Thor asked, leaning back and sipping on mead from his glass.
"Certainly."Loki replied, placing hands behind his head.
Minutes passed and neither of them could think of what to say. It was awkward and difficult to getting used to but difficult did not mean impossible.
"Thor, I love you."Loki finally spoke. "I want to spend the rest of the day with you doing whatever you like. Take your time.".
Loki lowered his hand so he could hold his brother's. Thor took advantage of that and gave it a little squeeze then brought to his lips and kissed.
"Love you too, brother."
