Marry Me
Nick sighed, upset that his romantic weekend didn't go as he planned. "Juliette, this weekend…I'm sorry, I didn't mean for anything to go like that." He whispered. She smiled, reassuringly, placing a small hand on his shoulder.
"It' alright, Nick, it wasn't your fault, about what happened." She whispered. "I'm just glad that we're all okay, including the woman."
Nick smiled, and rubbed a stray strand of hair out of her face. "How'd I get so lucky?" He asked. She smiled, and responded with a kiss. When they separated, she sighed and closed her eyes tightly. "Do we have to go back to work?" She asked.
Nick smiled, and gave a small chuckle. "I'm afraid so." He whispered. Just then, Nick rose to his feet and turned his back on Juliette. Juliette gulped, before sitting up in the bed. "Nick, are you alright?" she asked. Nick nodded, his head and reached for something in his pocket.
"Juliette, I've been waiting for the best time to ask you, and I think now is the best time," He whispered, going down onto one knee. He smiled, as he saw Juliette's expression. She slid down until her feet touched the hardwood floor.
"Juliette Silverton, would you do me the honor of becoming my wife?" He asked. Juliette's eyes flooded with tears, as she smiled.
"What do you think?" she asked, as she ran to him. Holding him close in his arms. "Yes, I'll marry you!"
Nick smiled, as he picked her up off her feet, and twirled her around the room. He kissed her, before setting her back on the ground. He slipped the ring on her finger, happy that she had said yes.
