(Kagome's POV)
"SIT!" I yelled as Inuyasha tried to grab my arm. He slammed to the ground. "Why are always picking a fight?!" He tried to pick himself up. "SIT!" He slammed down again.
"What did I do?" he asked against the ground.
"UGH!" I turned on my heel and ran off.
"KAGOME COME BACK HERE!" Inuyasha called after me. I started running as I hit the woods. I heard his footsteps following me. "KAGOME!" he called again. I kept running. Tears stinging my eyes as the wind stirred. He eventually caught me, spinning me around so I had to face him. I refused to meet his gaze.
"Let me go," I demanded weakly. "I just need time to think."
"About what?" he asked, his nails digging into my arms. "You love me don't you?" I couldn't answer. "Don't you?!" I nodded.
"You know I do," I replied, my throat getting thick. "But I just have to think."
"I've given you plenty of time to think, Kagome," he whispered. "Give me one good reason you won't give me an answer."
"Inuyasha," I groaned. "If you really love me you will let me think about it and stop arguing with me."
"I will not stop!" he yelled, all but throwing me away from him. "Give me one good reason you won't say yes."
"I. Need. To. Think." I said, emphasizing each word. Finally I sighed. "Ask me again." I demanded. "Ask me and then hear my final answer." He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring.
"Marry me, Kagome. I love you and that's all I really know. I've talked to your dad and you'll pick out a white dress…if you just say that you will. Marry me, Kagome." I swallowed past the lump in my throat.
"Y…Yes, Inuyasha." The words became easier as I knelt beside him. "Yes. I will marry you. Right now, weeks from now, months, even years if we have to. But I will marry you." He stood and kissed me. I let him slide the ring in place on my finger. I knew that right now…at this moment….I may never make it to our wedding.
