Sometimes, Darren thinks, It can be so hard to remember. He listens to Chris and watches him intently as he is relaying passionately his thoughts on today's script. Today Chris will be giving him flowers and Chris is explaining to Darren how huge a moment this is for Kurt and Blaine's relationship as if Darren doesn't also realise this.

Fortunately he feels exactly the same way and understands exactly where Chris is coming from because he has not been listening for the past five minutes… Or has it been ten minutes? Darren stares at Chris and all he sees is the soft definition of his jaw, his smooth and pure skin and of course his eyes. Which look so grey and blue and green all at the same time. He could lose himself in those eyes if he's not careful.

Right now, he thinks, they are blue. The grey of his sweater brings them out spectacularly. Chris is dressed in his Kurt clothes, his hair styled in a way which screams Kurt. And Darren is wearing his new Blaine Clothes, he loves the freedom of exploring this new side of his character, but right now all he can think about is the gorgeous man sitting in front of him.

Sometimes, Darren thinks again, it is too hard to remember. It is hard to remember that even though Chris looks like Kurt and he looks like Blaine, they are not Kurt and Blaine. This amazing man who is sitting in front of him is not his boyfriend and no matter how badly he wants to he can't just reach out and touch him. He can't hold him, he can't kiss him. Or can he?

For just a second Darren wonders to himself. Would it be so bad if I just leant over and kissed him? He can see that Chris sitting less than a metre away from him all he would have to do would be to shift forward in his seat and press his lips against Chris'. For just a minute he forgets that they have barriers and propriety and sexuality and all of the rest of it.

For just one second he lets go and leans over in his seat. He moves his face so that it is only inches away from Chris'. So close that he can feel the younger mans breath on his lips. Chris' looks confused but not upset or angry. This is all the encouragement Darren needs as he leans in to close the gap pressing his lips against Chris'

The moment is perfect and just for that second Darren feels like he can breathe. He feels free like nothing can hurt him, as if nothing will ever worry him again, that right here in this moment he has Chris and Chris has him and they could never need anything else and –"Dare"

Oh shit. As Darren clears his throat and hopes to God that his daydream was not apparent Chris looks at him amused expression apparent on his beautiful face. "Where you even listening to a word I was saying?" he asks with a chuckle.

And just like that the moment is gone. Darren remembers that he is Darren and that Chris is Chris and that no matter how much he would give to have this boy sitting in front of him, it's just not them. Not right now at least. But hey Darren thinks, never say never.
