A/N: Just some random thing that came into my head... Sort of inspired by AVPM/S read and review, please!
What Draco Wanted:
His mother he loved. She adored him, and told him so. She was proud of him, and accepted him for who he was- even though he had yet to beat Harry Potter at a Game of Quidditch. Therefore, he loved her- Slytherin though he was, he would have died for her.
Acceptance, Acknowledgement, Love... It was all he had ever wanted from his father. He had wanted his father to love him, to care for him, to be proud of him. It had never happened. His father had never read him stories or taught him how to fly a broom. His father had never once told him, 'I love you'. His father had been cold and distant, a figure he had to respect and obey, nothing more.
He had, in fact, even become a Death Eater to please his father. But had that made any difference? Of course not! Why would it?
It was at the end of the final battle when his father had finally said, 'I love you, son. I'm glad you're safe.'
Draco Malfoy had punched him in the face, and stormed off, much to the amusement of certain onlookers.
