Chapter One: Pilot
I know I should be working on Once Upon a December, but this has been screaming at me for ages. This is just a little teaser, and I will continue if I receive enough reviews. It'll be set BEFORE the first time Cas has his grace removed and is effectively mortal. Enjoy! Felix out~
Dean let the water wash over him, basking in the nearly boiling temperature. Finally, a motel with half decent hot water.
He and Sam had just stopped in after catching wind of a few murders with the hearts missing, labeled as a wild animal attack.
It was a small town in Washington, a little west of Washington. It was an area known for cougar attacks, which made the story believable.
They hadn't seen hide nor hair of Cas for a week, but this wasn't too unnatural. He'd pop in whenever was convenient.
Castiel. The angel had been at the front of the elder Winchester's mind here recently. He didn't understand why, exactly. He just WAS. And it was annoying as hell.
Dean continued to wash himself down knowing Sam was probably ready to wash off the grime of two days in the impala.
There was a sudden rush of cool air on Dean's back, and a gruff voice spoke.
"What is this?" He turned, eyes wide, to see Castiel standing, fully clothed, in his shower. "C-Cas!" He said. "What the hell?!"
Cas just squinted at him. "Ah. Yes, I forget humans need to clean their bodies regularly. What is this, then?"
Dean took the bottle of motel soap from him. "Cas, get out!" He opened the shower curtain. The angel was sopping wet, and his shoes made a squelching noise when he stepped from the shower. He left without a word, and he could see Sam look up from his laptop with a raised eyebrow at Cas's entrance.
That was the beginning of what Dean fondly called the end.
