I decided to write this really weird and short story cause I got braces today and they hurt like hell.
"Pst, Kili!" Fili whispered to his brother. Thorin was in an peevish mood so everyone in the company knew it wouldn't be a good idea to mess with him by saying something that might, well, mess with him. They were traveling down the River Running in Bard's boat, so for the past while on the boat it had been dull with little conversation.
"What?" Kili whispered back. He glanced at Thorin quickly after making his response.
"Did you notice if any of the elves had crooked teeth back there?" This thought had occurred to Fili while they were being held captive in Mirkwood. He had noticed that every elf that passed by his cell had perfectly strait teeth.
"Why would I take notice in that?" asked Kili. Fili shrugged. There was a moment of awkward silence.
"Well they can't be that perfect," said Kili finally. "I bet some of them have at least one crooked tooth. It can't be impossible." At this point in their conversation others started to take notice.
"They might all have strait teeth, but I'm certain most of them have over bites," said Bilbo. The other two responded with blank expressions. "What? I notice that sort of thing."
"One things for certain though," said Gloin, deciding to come into the conversation.
"What's that?" asked Bilbo.
"They all have perfectly white teeth."
