Hey!
This was originally a vocabulary assignment for English class, which would explain some of the words used. Other than that...I hope you enjoy this thing I wrote in 30 minutes during lunch!
Oh how Kanda hated his job at times. Allen and his idiotic, naïve viewpoint on life constantly challenged his opinions, fervently declaring that a war could be won on his terms, without lives taken. Lavi, whose ostensible cheerful and hyperactive appearance had fooled all of his so-called comrades, annoyed him during every waking moment. Last, but not the least of the swordsman's troubles, Komui, whose demise at the blade of Mugen was imminent. It was his fault that he was stuck on a train that would take him to the location of his next mission, along with the two plethoras of annoyance that he'd mentioned earlier.
All of which brought him here, sitting across the room from the impetus of the war against the Millennium Earl and that garrulous rabbit.
"So, Yu," Lavi began, but was swiftly cut off by Kanda's Death Glare of Doom™.
"Don't call me by my first name," he growled vehemently, the way he was looking at Lavi reinforcing the threat hidden in his tone.
"Aw, stop being so cantankerous!" Lavi cried.
The other two stared at him, identical expressions of cluelessness on their faces, much to their chagrin.
Lavi sighed, "Cantankerous; grouchy, irritable, ill-tempered, argumentative."
Allen winced; he knew that Kanda would not forgive that comment, and that a debacle of epic proportions would ensue.
"Um, Lavi?" he began, his usual benign personality prevalent. "Did you have to say something like that?"
"Allen, Allen, Allen," the historian said, shaking his head sadly. "Though Kanda might be quite aesthetic, he is the archetype of boring people. Without these conversations, life would be quite banal, both for him, and for me. If we just circumvented any topic that might make Yu angry, life wouldn't be as much fun!"
Allen's face took on a lugubrious expression, "I'll make sure to write Bookman of your demise."
"I don't want to die just because it's in my nature to subvert the entire mission by maligning Yu!" Lavi whined mockingly.
"I'll be succinct," Kanda said, his voice low and terrifying. "Acquiesce to stay still and be quiet, or both you and the Beansprout won't arrive in London in one piece.
The remainder of the train ride was spent in blissful silence.
Reviews would be greatly appreciated. :)
