Story 1: Movie Night
Marco and Star had been planning this movie for a while, and the day had finally come. Marco fixed a bowl of nachos, the Diaz parents were out for the night, and the two friends turned on the TV. It was a horror movie called "Revenge of the Scarabs" and Marco was filled with fear at the sight of the poisonous beetles devouring hapless victims. He tried to hide it, but he couldn't help but shriek when the beetles burrowed out of the man's skull. Star giggled and wrapped her arms around Marco. He looked up at her, his chocolate brown eyes meeting her ocean blue ones. Marco was filled with love just seeing her face. He gently ran his hand through her hair, tracing down her head and touching her soft, smiling face. Star softly planted a kiss on Marco's forehead. He gave her a peck on the cheek in return. The two blushed and smiled shyly at each other. They cuddled up on the couch and enjoyed the movie, happy to be in each other's presence.

Story 2: Karate Kissing
"You know what, Marco?" Star inquired. It was a beautiful sunny day and Star and Marco were in the park, enjoying each other's company. Marco looked at Star. "What?" he replied. "I want you to teach me some of your...uh..." Marco chuckled. "Are you asking me to teach you karate?" "Yes!" Star exclaimed. "That thing!" Marco grinned. "Sure, I'm game." Now, as you know, Star is no delicate flower. However, when it came to disciplined fighting...it wasn't really her strong suit. For the next hour, Marco would demonstrate an elegant karate move, and Star's attempt would be an uncontrolled flop. Finally, Star decided she was ready. "Alright, Marco." she said. "I'm going to do a flying leap at you, and you block me." "Uhhhh...okay." Marco replied. "But be careful." "Oh, Marco! Aren't I always?" "No." said Marco. "Never." Star grinned. She took a flying leap from the tree, but misjudged her angle. She screamed as she plummeted to the ground. "No!" Marco shouted. He dove, and caught Star in his arms. "You saved me!" Star gasped. Marco smiled. "That's what friends are for." The two gazed into each other's eyes, and before they knew it, their lips were brushing tenderly. They smiled at each other.
